Help - Cargo
I needed to re-load VO recently and find that I can no longer view my ship cargo during flight. In my wgaf file I show: bind "j" toggleinventory, but j does not do anything. Is there something incorrect about this entry or is there another entry that should also be there? I would appreciate any help so that I can correct this. Thanks.
did you happen to have hit caps lock by accident?
I checked that, good thought, but that's not it. Thanks.
Your wgaf file is wrong. It should be "bind "j" Jettison".
"Jettison" is the ingame command to toggle to Cargo hold.

That did it, thank you sir.
A rather badly named command.....
A left over from the bad old days when all names had to be short and so on.
A better command might be "View_Cargo " or simply "cargo" if there arent any commands that might invade the name space....
Adding a default alias to further shorten the command to "c" or what ever could also be included in the standard setup to make modifing it simpler for the newbs....

What? Commands never had to be short, Jettison used to do exactly that. I'm 100% sure /displayshippos, /togglenetgraph, /toggleframerategraph and others were commands before /jettison.
Silly Kettle.

And watch who you are calling "newbs", it's not like you are a vet.

He's been around six years, Yoda. How do you define vet?
I'm not sure there's much point in worry about one command, though.

Yoda was just being a bit cute, I think he was sitting outside on the sidewalk in front of Guild Software waiting for their first build...
Yeah Yoda was being cute..... Senility often is.
I'm always cute, ask Mystic :-p

I guess I define Vet as someone who can actually play the game rather than sit in stations crying.

Out of touch with reality - also a sign of senility.......
By itself it is a bit trivial but all the little off beat naming quirks do make the learning curve a bit steeper then strictly needed....Like any project VO is showing a bit of code rot around the edges after all this time and the devs will have to make a point of weeding some of this out eventually... in a few decades perhaps :P
