Is there going to be a conversion option to the S & P?

First we must have the answer to this question:

Is there going to be an S & P?

Well, the implication made by Incarnate in a post a few months back was that he was ready to roll out the S&P models but had to take a trip so implicitly doing so was being put briefly on hold.

Next we get a request for comment at the end of April, asking for input on variations between the S & P models and informing us that acquiring them is going to be 'more difficult', with nothing to suggest what that additional difficulty might entail beyond a concept photo suggesting they might be a bit longer and have 4 engines and our overactive imaginations and certainty that whatever the additional difficulty will be, it will be at an absurd level.

I could realistically switch from my original plan of building the S model and be flying an M within 4 days or 1 day if I bother to ask folk to build MCA's for me. But I am not going to sacrifice all of the work I've done thus far if I would have to start over for a different model which I would most likely prefer due to it being 'more difficult' to acquire mandating that it be superior to the M in some ways, and lesser in none.

I don't really care when the new models get introduced as I honestly am only building this thing as one reason to play and don't really have a use for it except to help other people or built stuff to sell to current builders. Neither of which is really urgent.

I'm good either way with this. I think it would only be right with respect to all of the people who have completed their builds to offer an upgrade route to a better Trident. But having not completed mine, I can simply keep leisurely adding the odd components to my stockpile while I wait.

The conversion thing has been suggested several times, and I understand where people are coming from. I don't want to force people into ridiculous all-new levels of grind.

However, even if there is a conversion, it will probably still add in a bunch of components that don't currently exist. I'm fine with the concept of reducing some of the time-sink, but there will still be added difficulty and challenges to get cooler and more exclusive stuff.

Thanks for the input. Depending on the amount of additional time sink, perhaps the M class could be an intermediary building stage which players can choose to or not to move on from then?

In the mean time, what I take away from this is that we should all go back to hoarding sss!

Edit: Also, since the concepts are still being designed, if you could design make them transformable like the old Robotech mecha that would be great... No pressure. Just sayin.

VO needs more transformable Humongous Mecha.

That was an actual goal, way back in the day, to the point where I personally modeled a complete Veritech Fighter. No joke.

Hah. I have the actual model somewhere, in like.. 3ds max 3.x format or something. I would have to hunt around for it. It was never textured or even uvw mapped, just got as far as modeling it and then.. had to spend time on something more realistic, I think :).

Those few who have visited our office might recollect to the SDF:Macross Veritech VF-1 that sits on my desk; people have commented on it in the past. That was used as the source.
