I tried the ner driver. Win 7 box, had a minor issue that I think was more my fault that the new drivers. However, I see a difference when shooting. It's cool, I like it, glad you relased it.

I'm taking back my earlier comment.

The update, has kinda hosed my game. It now will not play in full screen, I get a small winow to play in. If I try to roll back to DirectX9, grahpics are noticeably worse.

I'll be submitting a ticket.

Yellowdog: perhaps rename your config.ini, run the game and let it re-configure from scratch? It should not be any worse in DX9 mode than it was before. The updates should only change things for those who actively change to DX11.

At the same time, during a single runtime you may have issues if you change drivers in the client. But if the client is starting up to DX9 (without already running), it should be the same as always. So, renaming or deleting the config.ini is one way to make this happen, you can rename it just to make sure you have anything saved in case you want to switch back (you may lose some other data that's stored in the file, like login names or some such).

should non-microsoft specific land expect to see some shader love and dynamic lighting effects or is this just as someone previously mentioned, just to pretty things up for an xbox port?

aside from eye candy. I got bored and decided to see why all the blue people have been spending so much time in deneb. There were no other players in the skirmishes I was in (large). The lag experienced was almost unplayable. Even the warp animation was lagged. NPC ships scuttering around the screen, hits not registering a quarter of the time. And as i said, it was just me and npc's the entire time and my ping is around 80ms at worst.

They already answered that in the newspost, cellsafemode.

"Once the lighting has been stabilized, we'll add support to Linux, Mac and possibly other platforms."

While you're porting renderer bits around, why not bring that Oculus Rift support along with it? :)

Un-installing/Re-installing the client on the Laptop seemed to have resolved the issues. I'll chalk it up to something else going on or something I did in-advenrently. If it appears again, I'll submit it ticket.

However, back to loving the new update, I do see a difference, so I like it. :)

We recently changed to support the DK2, and I don't think that version of the Rift SDK has been released for anything other than Windows yet. At least, I know it wasn't available at the time when we implemented, and people were still complaining on the 15th.
