Vendetta Plug n Play

Can Vendetta run in like, plug and play system? Where all ye need to do is to save the Vendetta Online Folder on a USB, transfer it to another computer where VO hasn't been installed yet. Open the VO file with another computer, and run vendettaonline.exe as usual? Just transfer the files. Is it possible without the need of the system to register VO into its installed program list? I usually do this in Frozen Throne and it still runs kewl.

No, there's a registry key that the installer creates that prevents this from working right if the key doesn't exist. I don't remember which exactly, since I stopped using Windows a few years ago.

Actually no. The key that is present in registry is only used to make the vendetta online popup in the program list. And thats it. No more use other than naming. It wont affect on how the game will run

Sure you can. Just cd into the dir and run ./vendetta. I don't know if the drive being formatted with FAT will cause problems though; in theory it shouldn't, as long as you're mounting it such that all files are treated as being executable.

I don't remember whether the updater works correctly when the game isn't installed to ~/.vendetta, though. Worst case, you could just make a temporary symlink, and then run ~/.vendetta/update.rlb.
