I was playing all day today and then all of the sudden, around 4:00pm eastern time, almost in-sync with me achieving 25 kills in the Combat Training I mission, I lost connection to the network and haven't been able to reconnect for the past 45 minutes. It states that there may be a problem with my network connection or firewall however I turned my freewill off and my internet is working just fine. I also tried logging in via my android phone, both on my wi-fi network and also with the wi-fi turned off through the cellular network and am getting the same message. Is the server down? Performing maintenance? Anyone else having this problem? I don't understand....please help

I'm having exactly the same problem. I was playing for a couple of hours earlier on today, tried to log in tonight and received the same error message as above. My internet connection is working fine.

Tried connecting today but no luck. This is the first time something like this happened.
Probably has something to do with GS moving to a new ISP, Murphy never sleeps.

Yup. We are not alone. Some of my mates and I have the same problem. VO is simply down at the moment. Either it means that the developers are rolling out something big tonight, or that something is messed up greatly. I hope for the first mentioned, though taking the latest remarks by incarnate and the rumors I've heard into account, it may be something unpleasnt.

Inc has said they are having problems with their ISP going away. This all may be a result of things switching to a new one.

In case anyone was wondering, it was a temporary server outage (I don't know the details) and everything's back up.

Sorry about that, we were down for about 45 minutes, due to a problem that was entirely unrelated to all our recent migration stuff. We're still looking into the issue.

Well, that was a big ball of stupid. In effect, we're victims of our own stability. The game running for so long that it was starting to overwhelm the logging system in a way we've never experienced before, which ended up blocking the server (which is architecturally.. dumb, that that could even happen; in fairness it's never been an issue before in 13 years of runtime, but we're going to improve it anyway).

This also illuminated a hole in our monitoring, we have a lot of internal and external monitoring to check the game health, but this failed in a way that didn't appear to be "down" for our checks. So, we'll be improving that as well.

Anyway, overall I'm feeling a bit better about this now that we know what was going on. We're still doing some mitigation, so we may restart the server again today.

Thanks draugath, I'd totally ignored that thread since it seemed like typical bring-nothing-to-the-table whining.

Two weeks is way too short of notice to be migrating stuff like that. :(
