*** Vendetta 1.8.335/.1
- PowerCell Blaster has been buffed to 215 velocity, 8 energy per shot, 60 drain.

- We are now accepting Character Nation Change requests again. Once per character, per lifetime, submitted by Support Ticket. The character inventory will be WIPED (ships, items), but credits and
stats will remain. Be sure to sell your character's inventory before requesting a Nation Change.

- We are in the process of moving to a much more robust and distributed patch-update architecture. However, the transition may continue to have some bumps as we discover and resolve issues.
Please be patient with any connection delays.

- Updated the secure-HTTP connection functionality of the Android version, and added it to all other platforms and versions. Will help enable future game features.

- Training Sector Beam Cannon defenses have been significantly buffed, to reduce threats to newbies by more advanced player capships.

We also fixed an Android full-screen problem in pre-4.4 devices, as mentioned on the news page.

Good progress!

I can understand removing nation specific ships, but why non specific ships and general inventory? Is this intended to de incentivize advanced characters from switching while allowing newer characters to make the change without much loss or just the easiest way to implement allowing nation changes without allowing stock piles of ships to be transferred?

I like the removing-inventory thing. Might see more inventory auctions later on. Good update all-round.

Death Fluffy: It's just the easiest way that we could implement it. If we had done something more granular, it would have been considerably more complex to implement, and especially to test (many combinations).. and then we would need to update the code every single time we make some kind of nation-specific content change. That's not some on-going development load that I want to maintain, just to let people switch nations.

This might be as good time as any to create 'Unaligned' and 'Akanese' factions accessible only by dev change upon player request through support ticket.
Removing complete players inventory should make this (nation) change reasonably easy.

Give Akanese one station in Pelatus or Edras, keep the faction specific ships the same as Itani, limit Akanese standing to KOS Serco, neutral UIT and respect Itani.

What about tridents? Would I need to build my trident all over again if I wanted to change my nationality?

Devs did not remove Neon Black's Trident when he changed nation so I suppose you can keep the Trident.

your dent is a flag on your character , sounds like you keep the flags on your character still so you probably just use the insurance mission

Overall, awesome!

But....

I have personally verified that you cannot damage a newbie in the training sector with a capship turret even if you are faction KOS and not of the same faction. Example: Serco Savet shooting UIT in training sector. In what scenario was it previously possible to be a threat to newbies with a capship in the training sector?

This was all tested in the name of science.

an itani trident (i think it was westaculars alt on which he has a dent that itan willingly built for him for some reason) was flown into the red training sector and somehow and for some stupid reason they found a trick how to grief and destroy the new players. thats why.

There is no trick, I was with him when he did that, you can only damage the NPC's, not players. Even with avalons. Confirmed this when I logged onto a new Serco character and deliberately ran into a players' avalon.
