382nd Nation War
The 382st Nation War was held Sunday at 2100 GMT in Sedina D-2. The participating teams were Itani, Serco, UIT, and Grey. Swarms, mines, and the trident were banned, and missiles were strongly discouraged, out of a vain hope that that might help reduce the bug problems.
Today's prize contained 25,000,000 credits donated by:
Denji Royhu
[VOA]
Rin Ganborro
_______________
Quite a good turn-out, twenty-six[26] participants, Denji Royhu took up the reins of hosting in the absence of Surb or AP.
A quick brawl started out around the Itani base, with it becoming quickly clear that shots were not registering. Eventually the Serco and Grey teams joined in the fun, though they too discovered that they were firing blanks. As the battle progressed shots registered only intermittently, with even attempts to repair friendly ships coming to naught. After several running engagements where very little damage was dealt, much of the remaining Serco team withdrew due to frustration. This left very little resistance for the Itani team, who carried the day.
The Itani team won the Nation War, they split the 25 million credit prize, congratulations.
Thanks to all who turned up, and good luck in the future!

On a more personal note, I don't believe Solra or I will be joining in the NW for awhile, until this bug gets fixed. If testing of some form is needed in order to pinpoint the problem, I would be happy to help. As it currently stands, this is becoming less and less about skill and more about blind luck.

lol they didn't win, you copied and pasted :P

derp!
Hooray, and again I win! ;)
To be serious here, lag has become an awful problem once again today. It always appears to be caused when more then 15 people attend NW, which is not even a large number. I would expect the server to be able to take this. From people that play longer than I do, I have heard there were NWs with far more than only 20 people, so there must have been a time where there wasn't much lag caused when a couple of people fire at each other.
Furthermore, Levi hunting has also become impossible due to lag. I've had 4 failed attempts in the past 2 months, each and every with 4-5 people accompanying me. We did everything correctly, yet lag prevented us from doing it.
Now I ask you, Devs, what is it that suddenly makes VO so laggy?

Heh, totally thought I swapped that out, guess I missed it! Thanks for pointing it out. The derp is strong today.
Here is my video from this weeks NW, eventually I'll start thinking about showing the sensor log every so often to show where the battle is at more as a sector as a whole, but then I may start hosting NW again as DJ as well, in which case I will not be participating.

For the record, Gruumsh survived too, he just didn't stick around when the fighting stopped.

This is exactly why I don't bring my Trident anymore either.

That was my first NW and great fun if laggy.. I was wondering how I survived so long and looking at Lazy's video I think I should have died in the first few seconds! Thanks Rin for the backup..
