LOL Magus! True true. Good points, both of them. However I still felt that I needed to try and end it, as zamzx is younger than most here, and I know him personally (as in, real life). So I'd really appreciate it if these constant insult comments made about him (usually right in his face) would stop and be snuffed out wherever they appear.

So you're saying to go easy on someone because of their age? Sorry, but I don't do that. If they're going to post, they can make it at least semi-coherent. If they can't, then they probably shouldn't post.

It's a good point SiliconX, and much easier to take now that the language is less inflammatory. People have been pretty hard on zamzx in the past as his posts have been rather difficult to decipher, but this last one was pretty clear and would not have been picked apart if anyone else had posted it.

Pyro, frankly, every one of his posts have been easy to understand. I've been able to figure out every one in the blink of an eye. Just because someone is younger and ergo can't help making a perfect post will super awesome grammar and spelling skills doesn't mean we should run them off the message board.

I say that if you can't tell what he's talking about (especially in this topic, lol, it was pretty straightforward =D ), then it is you who shouldn't be on the message board. Now, I actually don't believe this, but it's a darn good point to consider, Pyro.

See, most people blame the "maker" when they don't understand something, like in zamzx's case. They see what they think is an illegible post and instantly come to the conclusion that it's zamzx's fault. But, when you think about it, zamzx could obviously understand it (and others), so people who say he's "stupid" in some way are in fact turning the insult back to themselves. It's one of those complicated things that could be up for debate, but still, like I said before, a darn good point to consider.

Feh, don't give me that. That's like saying that someone's bad spelling and grammar is soley based on the fact that English isn't their first language. Problem is, that's not always true. Even if English isn't someone's second language, they still shouldn't be posting things like "omg liek wat r u doing?!?". I agree, he has gotten a bit better recently. However, I wasn't talking just about zamzx (sorry if I didn't make myself clear). There are n00bs (not newbs) on almost every forum I read, and they're the same no matter what. And yes, I do blame the maker. Am I to blame if someone can't spell a single word properly, to the point where it's barely readable as English? I consider myself pretty damned computer literate, and used to these kinds of people, but I still have trouble reading their stuff from time to time. Also, I've noticed an interesting trend. The worse someone's spelling and grammar, the less formed their ideas tend to be. I'm not saying that the converse is true, simply that what I stated is. Oh, and of course he can understand his posts! He writes the damned things! I agree, his post in this topic was quite readable. *However*, that doesn't mean that it makes sense or is well formed. If I post something saying "whoa! I went out for a walk, and look what happened to my house", does that mean anything to anyone else who reads it? Not much, simply that something happened to my house. If I gave more information, however, such as "whoa! I went out for a walk and my house got painted bright orange!", other people might actually be able to know what I'm talking about. Otherwise, it's pretty much just muttering to oneself...

Well, if everyone had been around your house when you came back or witnessed it being painted orange, they would know what you were talking about. And this same is true for this case, everyone has witnessed the changes in Vendetta and therefore should get a very good idea of what zamzx was talking about,

And yes, "omg liek wat r u doing?!?" would be more of an example of laziness, not being unable to spell or english being a second language, lol! But it still wouldn't rule it out.

As for all their ideas not being well designed, that and the inability to write properly are intimately linked, that's all. This is because a noticable lack of spelling or grammar skills will taint anyone's view, and because a laziness to spell shows a lack of creativty, and so no one would expect them to write a novel.

However, though you are 200% correct on all these points, I go back to what I was originally talking about (detourers are not the way to go), it is still no reason at all to openly insult or make fun of him.

That's all that needs to be said, anything else would be off that subject, I consider this matter closed, let's get back to Vendetta!

I think the solution here is clear. Zamzx needs to read more and work on his writing skills, and the rest of us need to not be assholes.

What else have we learned today?
