Hmmm, what OS and what client? It sounds to me like you have answered yes to *allow work units bigger than 5 meg* which can take some time.

If in linux, you can ditch your current work unit by going to the folder you run F@H from (ie /home/user/foldingathome) and rm the work folder. If in windows, simaler steps, goto where you installed it/run it from, and delete the work folder, mac, i havent a clue, but I guess it will be a work folder inside the package? or maybe in your home folder.

Ya know, the estimates tend to be off. For the first few hours on the windows client, every wu tells me that it'll take several years to complete. They all finish in under a week.

Meh, the P-III 1 Ghz folded its last unit for now, seems its power supply gave out, and its micro-atx (pc-100) so its not going to be folding till I can be bothered shoving it in another case >.> gives you a bit of breathing space Hoax, but not for long :P

Yes. Folding@Home does protein folding simulations using distributed computing to help scientists study diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Mad Cow, Huntington's, and many forms of cancer. It's arguably a better distributed computing project to contribute your spare CPU cycles to than SETI@Home.
