Ouya - Game crashes in Basic Flight Status mission

Mar 31, 2014 cmdrwalrus link
I've been playing Vendetta Online on my Ouya (Android console) for a few days, but haven't made it very far...

I can't get past the Basic Flight Status test mission. Every time I do it, the game crashes (exits back to the Ouya menu) at the end, upon return to sector Dau L-11. When I come back into the game, I'm sitting in Dau L-11, at the entry point to the sector, and the mission shows in my Mission Log as "Interrupted".

I can come and go from that sector any other time without incident, but when I do it in the flight status mission, it crashes.

I've tried power-cycling the Ouya, and I've tried ditching the scrap metal from my cargo, but it still happens. Is there anything else I can try, or any way to provide more information for debugging?

Thanks!

<--- Try submitting a support ticket, if you haven't already.

There may be a way to sideload aLogcat, which provides very specific debugging information. What version of the Ouya do you own?

edit:

This doesn't appear to be limited to Basic Flight Status Test; I just tried creating a new character on my Ouya (original), and the game crashes when trying to warp out in Training III.

Yeah, I read about the support ticket system after I posted here. :-)

But now I can't reproduce it. Once I found where the error log was, I went back into the game to run the mission again so I could get the info from the log.... and it worked this time!! I'll have to create another character to see if I can get it to happen again.... but I'm worried I might get too distracted by actually playing the game with my main character now that it's working. ;-)

Oh, now that you mention it, I think I remember the game crashing once before the flight status test, but only once, so I had forgotten about it.

Here's the version info for my Ouya:

Build Number: 1.2.858_r1, Hardware Version: OUYA 1.0, Software Version: 1.0.12

I'll check out aLogcat. It looks like it'll be easier to read the log in than than in HTML Viewer!

Thanks for the report. If it happens again, create a support ticket with as much info as you can get.
