Deneb, since it is in a state of heavy warfare, should have alternating colors depending on which side is succeeding in the war.
So, heres how i think it should be done...
Sercos control 0-20% conquerable sectors and Itani's control 80-100% = The current dark blue.
Sercos 21-40% Itanis 60-79% = light blue
Sercos 41-60% Itanis 59-40% = gray
Sercos 60-79% Itanis 40-21% = light red
Sercos 80-100% Itani 20-0% = red (current serco sectors)
Sure the map would have to change a lot but dynamic things increase the fun ;)
