VO has been in development since 1998, if I'm not mistaken. The Source Code project has given it a lot of graphics updates.
And they have more manpower. |

| VO actually looks a lot better, I think, it's just that SS has much better 3D model designs and cheap but cool-looking effects (muzzleflashes, lense flares, etc). Essentially, VO has a lot more potential than is currently in use. |
