Load them up with any small port or large port weapon, assign them a key with all your buddies on them, load them into your trident at 50cu each and drop them off at your nearest sector. Deployable turrets are the ultimate tool in creating a home advantage at your conquerable station, ambush or trade route.

Owners of conquerable stations are able to produce these turrets for a fee and deploy them wherever necessary.

... if only the devs would make it so

That could be interesting. It could also be really annoying. I'd rather wait and see how much clutter persistent mines cause first.

The funny thing is, mines are already kind of mini-turrets. Lightning mines actually have a weapon that they shoot at you. They could change the weapon it has equipped...

Heh, that's funny. Those ball turrets on a B17 have a better range of motion than the turrets on the Trident Type M. :P
