I play valks with two energy just to be annoying. The Greyhound's turbo-recharge ability doesn't matter when whatever you're intercepting is out of the sector in 3km, which means a dual or tri energy valk (same or more firepower compared to an SVG) is the far better interceptor, partially because it accelerates faster, and partially because it can also kill fighters it catches and not just trade ships.

Seriously, Savet, you're comparing race cars to tanks? When is the last time you saw a race car in a battlefield, or even an passenger/cargo airliner break the sound barrier at affordable prices?

Yes, military equipment is made by private companies, but the best military equipment is often bankrolled by an organization demanding exclusivity.

My point is that military does not equal top tier. It should represent top armament, but not top specs ask around.

Also...affordable has nothing to do with it.

The Warthog MkII sucks in comparison to a lot of other ships, but people still use it for piracy because it's cheap and good enough.

Well i killed plenty of players in a Hog II even with better ship, that's the beauty of vo.
And hound vs hog II in a dog fight, i'll always choose an hog II :p

Fair enough, I should quantify that unaffordable has nothing to do with it when comparing top tier civilian items to their military equivalent outside of actual armaments.

Draug is attempting to exempt very high-priced item comparisons to military items, which also come with high prices. That was the target of my comment.
