Reduce cube on some Trident items

Mar 07, 2014 Death Fluffy link
I'm sure I'll get yelled at for suggesting this, but this is what I'd like to see changed is....

FFSA reduced to 40 cube
FCP reduced to 65 cube
IBA reduced to 100 cube.

I realize the point of the higher cube is to make building a Trident as tedious as absolutely possible, so I am willing to be happy with only changing the fcp to 65 cube.

I thought cu meant "cargo units"?

I was a about to say "so that's what cu stands for I thought it meant cargo unit"

It actually means cubic units.

Thought I'd weigh in on this one. I'm in favor of reducing the units, however what you propose is a bit much. I'd say something more like this:

FFSA: 50 cu
FCP: 100 cu
RBH: 140 cu
IBA: 160 cu

I'll explain why. FCP and FFSA are both Tier 2 components (first manufactured). They should each be able to fit at least 2 in the largest trade vessel (XC). Right now it isn't too bad because many guilds have already constructed Tridents to assist in hauling. But when we had to do it solo, it damn near drove me mad.

It makes no sense for the IBA to be smaller than the RBH, since you need several RBH in a single IBH.
Basically, you should swap the current sizes of the RBH and IBA. I don't believe more than one Tier 3 component should be loadable on a single XC.

@Kierky

The only change I'm serious about is the FCP (along with a reduction in weight). The rest were there more as part of asking for too much to make the real request seem more palatable. I am with you on the arbitrary sizing and weights for these widgets.

While I'm still pushing for 65 cube and 2/3 reduction in weight each for the FCP, 100 cube and a 50% weight reduction would still reduce transport demands considerably.

Apart from reducing items required, if the devs ever decide to ease the requirements for building a trident, I think this one change would have a pretty significant impact.

Hi, I'm fluffy and I'm manipulating you.

'manipulating' is such a strong word that carries so many negative associations...

Hi! I'm Fluffy and I'm manipulating you. It's much easier if you do what I say, you won't have to think and I'll give you permission to feel good about yourself afterwards.
