+1 Still a good one. Becoming Grey however, should not allow the player to recover nation standing above respect.

That sounds much like a cool feature for pirates and mercenaries. Mind elaborating what benefits it would give the people anyhow? And don't say to limit the Greyhound (thats if we assume unaligned=Grey). The long term subscriber program is preventing this very feature right now. And the Corvus Marauder is just not decent enough to be the top tier limitted ship.

Reassign the hive as "Hostile". While unaligned is not a nation, it should definitely be a choice available to everyone. The only catch would be it's non-reversable bar by devs measures.
