Anti-rocket mine cluster

Works like a chaff pod:

Releases 10 mines (maybe just one entity, but the model looks like 10 mines) in a cloud.

The size of theese should be 1/10 of a normal mine. It'll still be visible because of the 10 in a cloud.
Radius maybe 20 or 30 meters.

Proximity to trigger: 5m from one of them
They all detonate at once.

Damage: none
Force: very low

10 anti-rocket mine clusters per rack at a cost of 300/cluster.

Useless for everything except stopping rockets from behind the ship.

Nice idea, but, swarms...
One swarm would set the mines off and the other 100 swarms would just fly past with no trouble, but, things have their disadvantages...

Yeah, and they need BIG, BAD and ENORMOUS explosions =)

Stick, I think this was made more for traders trying to flee. This would prevent flare spamming from behind

2 ideas:
* How's about having explosion making nearby missiles and mines explode too?
and
* If you fire a rocket there should be a 'remote detonate' button, which blows your rocket in flight up.

This would make it more easier to clean up normal mines (just fire a missile at it and explode it nearby the mines). And if a rocket hits one of these anti-rocket mines, the explosions would save the trader a bit longer against other rockets (and the attacker wouldn't want to fly trough the explosions ofcourse).

Stick, when the first pair of swarms are detonated they often end up detonating the others, depending on how close together they are. This weapon would only really be useful while turboing and swarms can't home in on a turboing target making them not very useful.

Having a weapon/countermeasure that's effective against all missiles/rockets is also a bad thing.

If it doesn't stop the entire swarm, good!
I'm a trader, not superman. I don't want to be 100% safe.
100% safe trading is like playing chess against myself. No fun at all.

What problem is this weapon trying to solve?

Its cool overall, but the game seems pretty balenced right now... and if anything traders need to be less protected right now.
