I know its hard to sift through the ton of requests you guys get, but I was wondering if you guys could make the game extractable without installing, cuz this games file size is so small, it makes playing at uni. ideal on spares... but many ppl dont have admin access to install stuff on them comps.. (im sure a few others have this prob)...jus wonderin if it would be possible to accomadate the few who crave between classes....

no, it dosn't allow directory creating at all, so installing dosnt work... plus i dont think it allows write to reg. im gonna try the USB thing, but i dunno..

How would you extract the game without being able to create directories? O_o

I dunno if the devs would be able to legally subvert your admin's settings to allow you to play...

well, i can make directories, but installers cant, nor do i have admin rights, so i cant install crap either...

when i ran it of the USBFlash Drive, it worked, but at the update client, it was taking like hours to DL the update to latest ver. And our net connection at school is lightning fast...

Your net connection may be lightning fast, but a USB drives read/write speed is not.

well, USB2.0 and its a flash drive... it should be faster then external drives...

Unfortunately the installer writes a registry value and the updater reads it in Windows.

What you could do is the usb thing, but then you would have to run the game directly, bypassing the updater which is not recommended.

Actually... what would happen if you ran an old version of the Vendetta client (e.g., 3.1.x) in the new universe?

Nothing, since you can't run anything besides the latest client. They change the protocol between releases.
