"Over 5000 keys sent out and yet the universe has never no more than a hundred or so players and its not even rotated"
True, Danthereboy, but as FM said a great number of those keys never made it to the intended recipients. At the start of the open beta there were never more than about 300 players online, now at peak times there are more like 100-150. So 50% of the people who try this game don't like it, big deal. If there had actually been 5000 people logging on at the start of open beta, we'd have more like 2,000-2,500 players online at peak times.
