Is it just me or is it true?

Ive been looking at the cent for a while and I think its messed up, it says it is a "light fighter" well if it is a light fighter than why dose it have more mass than a "medium fighter" the vult? drop its cargo to 2 and frop the mass on the MKIII to 3500 and drop the others in a like maner.

You are correct, Misfired. The reason the centurion actually has more mass than the vulture is because of its size. It's so small it needs the extra mass for stability, otherwise the balancing thrusters go crazy and the ship spins out of control. At least, that's the explanation I've heard.

The reason it's classified as a light fighter is because of its firepower AFAIK.

Yeah, I've heard various people say the engine can't handle a ship so small with a mass less than the vulture without flipping out. You'd think for balance reasons the centurion would have less mass when compared to the vulture (which has more weapons and HP) but... apparently something is mixed up there.

The simple solution which the devs pointed out when they first talked about locking each engine to a given ship is to give the Cent a more powerful engine. I'd be very surprised if something like this doesn't happen in the future to balance it out.

Ok, the vult MKIV has a mass of 3,900 make the cents match that and that would do.

And do they ever read these post?

Yep, they read them. They tend to answer the posts in Bugs and General because those are time-sensitive, but they read everything as time allows.

The mass issue is known and I do know that they have been discussing fixes.
