OK, there is the official request to supply suggestions. I agreed to supply them.

10)Your going to need another aspect to Vendetta. Lets build things Ships, weapons, Anything etc....I'm in the bata of coarse and i'm in need of something more than just combat and trade missions.

Details: I'd like a better visual clue to where I'm heading than the flotsam wizzing by me. Yes, flotsam works; it's actually a pretty cool idea: it shows me what I need to know, it also tells me my velocity and it adds to my sense of immersion. But it doesn't work fast enough.

It takes time for me use the flotsam in this way. I gotta take my eye off the target, check the surroundings, focus on a bit of flotsam, pause to see the delta, then resume combat. It all happens quickly, but not nearly as fast as a little red arrow floating at the bottom of my field of vision always registering delta would.

Then again, maybe I'm just getting old... ;-)

Cool game. A refreshing change from the WoW closed beta for me.

This is a bit much for one post. But there's very little that hasn't been discussed before.

1) Got it, for the most part. Take the prospecting mission. You can't change it mid-flight. That would require a couple dock workers to put on space suits and change it out manually. Maybe something will be made to explain an ability like this. More devices are most definitely on the way.

At first, I was thinking "PCI isn't a good name for it" but "peripheral component interconnect" exactly describes it.

2) Talked about almost literally to death. They may add it, but I don't see any necessity for shielding in VO. They have "chee" shields in the Itani side of the back story, so we may see something similar.

3-5) Good but also redundant. So let's wait to see what shows up.

6) Huh? The repair gun can heal friendlies, and group members do appear on radar from any distance... (?)

7) Here,here! This would be a good thing. Make the screen less "bulky". Scaling the HUD works, except that it makes the chat boxes smaller, so the effective text region is the same size.. Make the chat boxes larger at higher resolutions.

8) No, it's a balance thing, and a shorter distance would favor the person running away a little too much. They may change it some during tweaking, but probably not to 1500m.

9) Learn to go around ion storms. Don't always go from point A to B. Realize there are storms in populated sectors, so plot a course around them. It's that simple.

10) Just wait a little. New features are in the works.

On the second post: What good is a "3D" arrow on a 2D screen? It's never exactly clear at a glance which way the arrow is pointing, any more than the space junk. Just be a little more spatially aware as you maneuver, or stay in flight-assist mode. Maybe some people work better with different velocity cues, so maybe they should add something.

Dive, maybe you should post your own suggestions, and let these people post their suggestions here in addition to your forum. And we tend to like one good suggestion per thread, to keep the discussion focused.

I really like the PCI slot idea. Possibly add tractor beams as one of the items. Just a secondary, non-weapon/armor, aid thingy.
