First off I just started playing and i love the game. Very much like wing commander/free space.

Some suggestions: nix the "variations" and have slots of the ships themselves. Put in an engine slot (that's really what most of the variations change), a cargo slot (other variations), and at least a misc slot (scanner?.. upgraded computer?). Variants of the same ship are basically the same.

Add a lot more (yes, i know this is a big order) ship designs and models. Make them faction dependent. Right now (and i'm a newbie so excuse me) there's only 1 or 2 designs that are faction dependent. That means that practically everyone (serco, itani, uit) all have the same ships. Pirates have the same ships. That's not cool. There should be faction dependent equipment as well. It would be cool if there were some corperate fighters as well. Make them system only defenders without warp drives (aka only defense of the corperate sectors).

When you start "growing" the universe, have a bunch, or all of the jump points unknown. People will actually have to explore for points and find them themselves. Upgraded computers can map them out. One way jump points would be cool to. People can find shortcuts around the universe. Yeah, i know eventually people will share the info, but in the begining it makes being an explorer and checking out the sectors worth while. Right now (and correct me if i'm wrong) there's no real point to jump to a sector with nothing in it.

Itani should have shields of some sort. Not the awesome monk empowered shields, but some sort of mini version able to take some hits. Might be in the "battery" slot or whatnot.

Please please please update the missions. I haven't found anything other than the standard 5-6 missions.

It used to be that way. People complained so the devs changed it.

Basically, its still that way. The only difference is that the different ship variations are the variations you'd get with the same ship but a configurable engine slot. A few combinations that seemed unfair no longer exist, but other than that its the same.

Everyone wants more models. Models are alot of work.

There used to be alot of hidden wormholes. The problem is first - that wormholes don't stay hidden for long. People find them and soon everyone knows where they are. That said, I expect hidden wormholes to be back. Heck, they may already be out there in apparantly empty sectors.

They are working on it.

How the hell can you complain about choices?.. They should of complained that the sky was blue too.

Because everybody ended up with the same uber engines.

Please reserve judgement on the engines. The plan for the devs is to customize the engines on each variant of the ships. Right now, there's only 4 engine variants, which are spread around. So a Centurion Mk3 has the same engine as a Vulture Mk3. In the future, each ship class will have its own engines, which will make things vastly different. I think.
