Nation Chat

With CTC now in full swing we really need Nation only chat in place.

One of the great things about CTF was that you could call across nation chat for help and only people in your nation would know where you were etc. This made a lot more people help with CTF and the nation more unified.

Now its almost everybody for themselves. Unless you are in a guild or group you cannot ask for help. Both of which only reach a small number of players.

If there were nation secure channels, or a nation chat it would add a lot to CTC IMO. I did a lot of CTF in the day and it would not have been the same without nation chat.

I know it's coming sooner or later, and I personally think there are other issues which need more attention first, (which I've already posted about) but this should require a relatively minor amount of Work in comparison* and offer substantially more in terms of player impact.

I accept the fact that there are many avenues that decrease the value of nation chat (spies, moles, multiple characters, etc) but I believe that merely having a way to focus yell directly to most of your target audience would mean a lot to many people, even if that message might ultimately be counter productive.

So, while the reality might be that yelling for Serco help to protect your convoy might encourage someone to log on their Itani to plunder an apparently poorly protected cargo, it will ultimately feel better to merely have the chance to yell "OMG!!!111 someone get over here and help protect the convoy!!!111" So, Bumpage.

And to those of you who can read between the lines and see the ways nation chat allows Us to weed out the moles and spies and dissidents and control the flow of information... well, there is at least one secret organization in game that would love to illuminate you further.

*(My apologies if it will actually require a major rehaul of the channel system. I accept that Things are not always as they Seem.)
