There will be a BLAK sponsored race, The Deneb Run, on Saturday at around 11:00pm gametime (According to my /time) in the game. This is the same time as the previous race.

Rules would be:
1) Racers must race from Odia M14 through Deneb heading clockwise back to Odia M14.
2) Race starts in Odia M14 near the station.
3) Contestants must be within 100m of me before the start
4) No shooting before going through the WH
5) You die and you're out (so no /exploding)
6) All weapons and ships allowed.
7) First person to get back and dock at Odia M14 wins the first prize. (1 million creds)
Second person back gets 600k
9) Third person gets 400k

Put your name down if you're interested. I won't start it with less than 6 racers.

Yep yep I'm in.
Of course, 11:00 PM Saturday is... 11:00 PM Saturday for me in America's Dairyland(WI), right? I'm the same time as the gameservers (-6GMT).

This time I'll have a better racer and no weaps and a better course planed... No ion storm will take away my victory!
May the fastest man win!

Anyone want to sponsor me? I'm accepting sponsorship in the next race. Anybody? Bueller?

/me puts a "bumper" sticker on the back of his new ship that reads in big letters: "If you can read this, then you must be Borb."

Damn, I wanted a rematch. I'm afraid I'll be out of town this weekend. Maybe next week?

Martin,

Don't forget that you must find a way to avoid scouts warning some players of ION storms per system.

Personally I think there is no way to avoid this so the best thing to do is that every player gets his scout.

Nah, if someone wants to spend an hour charting the course first, let them. That's a lot of work. I don't think it's practical for everyone to have a scout. In fact I would rather hope that no one stoops to this level.

...now that tosheeba got me thinking about the details...

*will there be checkpoints? how many and where?
*will all racers need to be grouped?
*what other additional rules and logistics apply?
