Weekly Sponsored Nation War Event in Sedina B-8! 2 MILLION CREDIT PRIZE!

Every week, day as yet undecided, I will hold a sponsored war event in Sedina B-8. Each nation will group up at the appropriate time. ON my mark, the war has begun. The last person alive will get the prize. If more than one person from the same nation is alive, the prize will be spli. A few rules:

1. No seeker missiles. They're no fun for anyone.
2. No runners. You cannot simply run out to 15,000m from the wh and expect to be the victor.
3. Once you are dead you are dead, no coming back in the sector. Dead players meet up in Sedina D-14 or Latos O-12(wh) depending on which side they based on.
4. Once you leave the sector, for whatever reason, you are considered dead. Report to either meeting zone for the dead.
5. There will be three judges who will not participate, one from each nation. I will be one. I would like a UIT and a Serco judge.
6. There will be spectators. This is not required, but a suggestion that spectators come in a Behemoth as no contestant will likely bring that ship to the war.
7. Finally, if a ctc convoy is passing through at the time, I ask both parties to respect it's presence in Sedina B-8 and not attack nor defend it there. Any such violation will ban you from further participation from this contest for an undetermined amount of time.

So, please post here with suggestions on day and time, use GMT. Any players who would like to be judges please also post here, with your ingame name that you will use. Also, pople who participated in my "spur of the moment" version of this on Thursday (I think) please post suggestions on what I have posted and about the event that you participated in. Thanks all!

why not hold it somewhere other than b-8 and eliminate the convoy possibility alltogether. otherwise you get questions like the following:

What happens if the convoy jumps in and kills one of the itani participants? does he get to come back?

do convoy bots that get stuck in b-8 count as serco participants?

you'd be better off holding it in an empty sector or one of the asteroid sectors thats not on the convoy route.

heh. Yeah, this is gonna go smoothly, perfectly, just as planned and without a single glitch along the way.
Genius.

great effort moldyman, but I think Spellcast has a point. move it to another sector. :-)

also, you might want to try to make all members of each nation group with their judge -- this'll make it easy to see when they pop or leave the sector.

What about those people that are hated by their own nation?

Then they get nothing. That'll teach them to be outcasts.

How about having it in Odia? It's centrally located.

How about holding it in a hive stronghold, and no one is allowed more than 1000 m away from the roids

The first one went pretty well, other than the needed clarification on the rules, and better observation by judges. Grouping the judges into the battle groups will definitely help, good idea there Al.

It was a lot of fun though. I miss the big furballs we used to have.

I'm game. It may be best to mix the judges with nations. ie.) Put Serco judge with Itani, Itani judge with UIT, UIT judge with Serco. This way we know judges won't be tempted to not report teammates leaving the area.

Excellent idea. Suggestions on rules for the event are still welcome, but I'd like some suggestions on location and time. Starting senior year soon so reasonable times please.

I'm in. Well, as long as I can remember to be there. When is the peak online time, terjekv?

I say do it then, when the most players are on. I'll guess that that time is on Saturday nights in the US. So that's 0400 GMT on Sunday, Midnight on US EDT, 9 PM US PDT.

Why do I have this distinct feeling a certain unnamable pilot is likely to appear and attempt to ruin the fun?

Anyway, the UIT know war is only profitable when you're in the sidelines, dishing out advice and WMDs to the sidesinvolved, and not actually fighting.

there are a few peaks, 1-5am GMT should be good.

Ok. Saturdays at 12pm EDT, 9pm PDT and , I think, about 4am GMT is good. Weekend and late enough for people to be on. I will start next weekend.

And I do belive that 2million credits for the UIT is a good enough reason for the "legitimate businessmen" to participate.

Now to pick a sector in Sedina or Odia.

Oh, and no judges have volunteered yet. 250k to each judge. Follow the same rules as spectators and we will follow Ghost's suggestion of intermixing nations and judges. I cant do this without a Serco judge and a UIT one.

I'm willing to judge if it's at a time good for me, and if you think I'm qualified.
edit: yeah I'll definitely judge

Ok. So far we have an itani judge and a serco (right?) judge. Just need a UIT judge and we're all set. Besides location of course.

MonkofAkan,

Would you please clarify the date for this event? Is it 4:00 GMT Saturday or Sunday?
