REI puts factions on notice

A recent mapping excursion in Edras by RelayeR Explorations Incorporated Senior Scout, Mazer, nearly resulted in numerous deaths.

REI owner and Chief Pilot, RelayeR, advised us that Mazer's assignment was to "Plasma Scan" a number of Edras sectors in an effort to discover possible reasons for constant com blackouts in the area.

Mazer's test Raptor was equipped with a Plasma Scanner, a recent development of REI, as well as a sophisticated communications array to measure strength and origin of com signals in the area. This combination of equipment has been used successfully in other ships on numerous sorties by REI with no ill effects to it's pilots.

"A bit of history is in order here." Said Director RelayeR. "Prior to flights involving this combination of equipment, great steps are taken to query all factions for transport movements and filed flight plans in an effort to prevent injury or death to pilots jumping into a sector where this equipment is in use. Pilots operating the equipment are supposed to be safe, thanks to special shielding. All documented indications were that nobody had anything planned for these sectors. That's why we chose them for study. Somebody lied... as you can see by the footage, no less than 10 transports with escorts jumped into the sector Mazer was operating in. The the gravity signature's plasma feedback to his ship was enormous and it's a wonder those pilots and Mazer are not dead. I will be serving notice to all factions that failure to properly disclose jump activities while a Plasma Scanner is in operation is illegal and the responsible faction and it's pilots in that footage face a hefty lawsuit that will, no doubt, increase REI's holdings significantly."

"And, I'm grounding all of TPG's Raptors in the possession of REI until I find out how the hell that shielding was left out of the hull mix in 3 Raptors after we specifically ordered it!", continued RelayeR.

RelayeR also advised this reporter that she had plans for a purchase of 1500 Raptors from TPG prior to this incident, stating that she *was* "...quite pleased with their performance and cost...". She also stated that this incident has, indefinitely, put those plans on hold.
