There is hope for SCAR to return. You must keep in mind, CORE is not the new SCAR, despite what Mecha may say. We don't intend to hurt CORE with this announcement, we are just simply trying to gather our former members for a guild formation.
I apologize Mecha for doing this, but we feel that your guild isn't entirely what SCAR is supposed to be. I respect your actions to bring the dominion back together, and I find you to be a good leader and fighter. However, you can't replace SCAR when it hasn't truly died yet.

Not quite dead? Isn't that like being just a little bit pregnant?
SCAR is dead, face it. If you make SCAR again, it will just be SCAR II, not the original SCAR at all. Even if you went on the gankfest to end all gankfests, you would not recapture the feeling the community had for the original SCAR. It was serendipity, a matter of time and circumstances what created the original Guild we all loved to hate, and who loved being hated, too.
Still, by all means go ahead; we all know that if any Nation can succeed in having as many Guilds as it has active players, it is the Serco Dominion. Please divide yourselves so the rest of us can conquer, you won't regret it!

Your band of theives will never be allowed to regroup. You especially, Nautargos, will soon find that the past of [SCAR] will be the undoing of you all.
Just because that past was written before your time is no reason to stay our wrath. The sins of the fathers will be revenged on you and yours.
Four have met this Truth; Three only remain.

SCAR will return, as will I. Mark my words.
Five have now met me. Only Two Remain.
Marky, ye just wait until we get a chance to cross paths.
And Naut... I'm a "Former SCAR Member"! ;)

Markus, didn't you play a while back?
I don't care what Scar did or was going to do but if there Serco guardians then I am welcoming them back. Do remember one small detail that you can get a following allies with the most active Serco Guards (BDC) now ^^
Welcome back Scar ;)

Yay Lecter, kick his puny ass.
Serco guardians? SCAR?
No, wrong Guild.
SCAR hung out in greyspace pirating everybody in general and Itani in particular; there was no tactic below them nor newbie too newb to be killed. They were, of course, quite capable of acting "honorably" if they felt like it.
They were the perfect bad guys (for all non-serco, anyway) and much fun was had fighting them, but then they changed and became, in one word, BORING. Lecter's and BUNNY's SCAR was a hoot and a challenging enemy; Cunjo's and Mecha's and Nautargos' SCAR is [ITAN] in red, to be honest. If you really want SCAR back, put Lecter in command and throw away all that nonsense about a "honorable national Guild"; SCAR was made of Renegades and the way they did their job showed it. In the post-Lecter SCAR the C obviously stood for Carebears, as is the case with CORE. ST6 was there for respectable behavior; for general pro-Serco underhanded mayhem and excitement, SCAR was where it was at.
Bring Lecter's SCAR back or let it stay dead.

LOL Jex you think that the modified version of SCAR is ITAN in red. I think that the old SCAR is ITAN in red - minus the pirating I think you need to be able to shoot something besides seekers for that to work out.
We were many things, but [ITAN]'s carebear ass we were not. If it moved and it was blue, we killed it. If it was UIT and trading with the Itani, we killed it. Not only did we kill it, we were proud to claim that we'd killed it. [ITAN], by nauseating comparison, has always talked big and honorable, while simultaneously encouraging the most pathetic of behaviors amongst its 'pilots'. Only their general lack of competence prevented them from being a serious annoyance.
The parade of horribles often invoked against what we did was, quite simply, our greatest achievement. We butchered Itani children who'd wandered into Serco space. We slaughtered blue youngling pilots. We wasted traders with only scant regard for exactly how much their efforts would further the Itani cause: even a little was enough. I personally engaged in kidnap and ransom, bringing in tens of millions of credits that went, you guessed it, to killing more smurfs.
When it needed to be done, but nobody wanted to dirty their hands with it--especially [ST6]--then we were there killing it. I still recall A-Dawg proudly disclaiming the fancy fight and labeling himself as a killer. At our best, we all were.
So blow your highminded criticisms out yer arse, Sagara (et alts.)... SCAR was well and truly horrible, as war itself is. ST6 and its honor is all well and good, very useful for peacetime and such. But before those civilized ideals could have any hope of taking root in secure ground: the Serco needed [SCAR]'s utter brutality. Certainly, [SCAR] was a unit that would have to be imprisoned, or worse, if peace ever broke out.
But that doesn't seem to be an immediate issue, now does it.
[OOC] Plus, as jex said, we were a shit load more fun back in the day. [/OOC]

Not having witnessed any embodiment of SCAR, I cannot comment upon its actions. But, having been part of an earlier guild who did pretty much the same (if anyone remembers SAW, thats the one), I just think that maybe it would be interesting to have both kinds of guild:
The actual 'renegades' (the archetype, not any specific guild), of which the Itani have a version which is even mentioned in the backstory, the Akanese, and an 'official military' which adheres to RoE, some Dau Senate convention and all that stuff that's fun to circumvent, bend, or flat out disregard.
Naturally, with the state the game is currently in, especially but not only in regard to the size of the player base, this is all but impossible.
It also would require that there be criteria the official guild would have to meet (e.g. member count (active), member count (passive), combined kills, combined atrocities committed,... all of these weighted with common sense) and that there be actual benefits to being it (special ships, equipment, other perks), just as there would be the 'renegade' attribute, satisfying different, but not entirely opposite criteria.

CORE is a bunch of ganker wannabes who even ITAN's punk ass wouldnt accept.
Would you all stop bashing each other in the Forums and go, like, shoot something instead?
They try but they end up running from each other instead.
*hic*
Jex can shut it. We all know that he was the worst scumbag and liked it. (OOC: it made for some fun RP at times as well. :P)
Jex will always nag us for being too goody-goody even if we're not. The Itani's will always nag us for being "scum" even though we never have been.
It's what we've come to expect from those two entities.
Leber, my taur will always be better than yours. Moldyman... 1) you're a turncoat. 2) I'll kick your flare-spamming can any day.
Yeah, and I'm open to getting back in-game to back up the smack I'm talking right now.

I can't be a turncoat if I was never really on your side :)~
And bring it!
