Uknown prescense
"HEAR, HEAR! I will have order in this senate room!" I sat glumly in a corner next to senator vorik. Vorik was somewhat disturbed about the new found enemy that was attacking systems near the rim of the unknown regions. I witnessed a brutal massacre at Pyronis where the station near the Initros wormhole was destroyed. Then senator Vorik made his move...
"Excuse me but talking about the enemy isnt going to help us in knowing this new found opposing force, I say we make exploring the unknown regions as a priority right now." said senator Vorik. "Where do we start then!" "What do we do send a recon squadron to warp and find them selves in a sun!" said a stubborn senator. "No, I say we work with the Itani, they have explored more of the unknown regions than we have." "I will not work with the vile scum that desicrated us!" Senator Vorik was growing tired of this talk and wanted action, thats why i liked him...
After a long talk, it finally ended with a squadron to be sent out into Itani space. The Serco leaders contact the Itani in a desprate attempt for a ceasefire. As i got up from chair, i saw senator Vorik coming to me. "Captain Wedge Antilles, I'd liek to have a word with you real quick." "Sure," i offered him a chair and pulled up one myself. "I'd liek your elite squadron to take the mission, You and your squadron have been a major asset in the war and your the only sqaudron to survive an attack from the Chigs." "Chigs sir," i sat there dumb founded 'chig'. "Yes its what were calling them now, but will you take the mission?" "Of ourse senator!" "good, prepare your squadron and report to your CO then." well looks like we get another run into itani space except this time it wont be guns blazing....
Me and senator Vorik left the senate room, he went somewhere i dont know, i on the other hand was going to the bridge to talk to General Panib that i was going with the mission. When i reached the turbolift, all of a sudden the ship shaked violentley as if a thousand bulls had stampeded across it. The alarms went off and i didnt like the sound of it "where-would-you-like-to-go?" "the hanger". The turbolift started its descent and opened up 3 seconds later. The man in the control room was busy giving orders through the intercom while i ran to my new skycammand prometheus. The hanger doors werent opened yet and i was waiting why they werent open. I hoped into my flight suit and jumped in my cockpit, activated all the control and the automated voice said "fuel low, warning fuel low." i was pissed why wasnt it filled. "Hey you get over here and pump me up with soem fuel now!", the engineer quickly rushed over with a pipe and hooked it up to my fuel line, "Almost done sir", "good". The rest of my squadron was having problems aswell but shouldnt take to long for them to fix it. "after the engineer was done, i grabbed my comlink to have my pilots get ready, "all Ajater pilots get in your ships and launch", the comlink bepped twice for the confrimation...
My ship was ready and so was everyone elses, the hanger doors opened and i was pulled into the launch tube. "-minus-5-seconds-till-depature", 5,4,3,2,1 then my fighter lucnhed, what i saw was gruesome and brutal. the chigs were everywhere, slaughtering countless traders and other civilians. "All pilots engage all hostiles! i repeat engage all hostile pilots!" i yelled through the comlink. Ipicked my first target and opened all hell on it after what took about 67 shots it finnaly was detsroyed, it was'nt a ball of flame at but stuff evaorting and being incinerated. i did'nt have time for sight seeing so went for another target. I tagged 3 chigs so far then the flagship ordered all pilots to retreat to sol 2 immideatley. "all pilots retreat to sol 2 now," Half the fleet was gone, the mighty serco fleet...

As we came out of jump and entered sol 2, gneral Panib started to bark out orders, "I want 3 heavy assualt frigates and 2 heavy assualt cruisers to guard thsi wormhole, And i want the rest of the fleet to regroup at skycammand capitol". We did what we were ordered and jumped to the station.
Since the entire serco fleet was here i didnt know what to expect, but i expected alot, "Wedge, its me senator vorik, were having another council meeting and you are being speacialy appointed there, ehad there now," "on it senator". I did'nt know why, but Vorik sounded as though he was my cammanding officer which he was'nt. As i walked towards the senate meeting my mind started going into flash backs of the last battle. When i reached the senate room i raised my hand over the DNA analyzer, as it went into its authorizing process the light went green and the door opened. I walked in and took at seat beside Vorik. One of the supreme leaders of the serco dominion looked at me and said, "Captain Wedge Antilles, good of you to join us we wer ejust talking about your mission to Itan, i hope your ready for it." "always am," as the broing talk went on it finally ended and i went to my quarters for a nice rest.
I slept for about 9 hours, longer than i was suppose to, but i needed it. I slipped into my flight suit and headed to the bar for some breakfast. While i ate my comlink buzzed, "Wedge your needed at the bridge," "can it wait im eating," "sorry sir, direct orders from the general." Typical Ensigns, always doing their best but never good enough. I grudgingly threw away my breakfast into the disposal and headed for the bridge. When i walked onto the bridge officers and recuits were busily planning the defensive structure against the chigs. "Wedge you and your squadron are to leave for Itan in 2 hours, hope your ready," "2 hours! i just got up." "Sorry wedge but get your suadron ready and head for the hanger ASAP," "yes sir!" i gave my salute and elft for the hanger.
The rest of my suadronw as there preparing there ships, i walke dover to munro my 2nd in cammand, "Liutinant, is the rest of the squadron ready?" i asked, "yes sir, their already but not to happy about the mission," "neither am i, not to fond of dealing with the itani's." Munro slightley grinned at my joke and went back to work. I headed for my ship now know called the rapier, fancy name i might add. I checked my weapons,navigation syyetms, and engine systems to amke sure no misshaps would happen again in the midst of battle. The intercom switched on and said, "All Ajatar pilots, operation Intel consummer has started, enter your ships and enter the launch tubes." with that my squad hopped into their ships. I went into mine, sealed my cockpit and lifted off to the launch tube. "T-minus-10-seconds-until-launch", after those 10 seconds i launched. My squad and i entered our formations and left for Itan...
