can droidbuttons make a roll-lock button?

The way I have my droidbuttons setup currently is with four buttons for strafing (up, down, left and right) on the right side of my screen over the built in touch stearing circle. My right thumb operates those while I steer with the accelerometer and on the left side of the screen I have two droid buttons for rolling (cw and ccw) and my left thumb operates those.

The problem I'm having is that my thumb has to remain pressed on the roll button to keep the roll going so that same thumb is not free to operate the forward and back velocity.

Now I have this other plugin for a turbo-lock that lets me set up a droidbutton so that if I press and hold normally it behaves like the built in turbo button but if I double-tap it the turbo locks on untill I touch the button again so I don't have to hold my thumb on the button to turbo long distances.

So I was wondering if something similar could be done for the roll buttons so I could double-tap to initiate a roll and then have that thumb free to operate the forward and back velocity?

Well, I tried making copies of the taplockturbo plugin and just swapped out the turbo command for the RotateCW and RotateCCW commands resulting in two seperate plugins, one for each direction, but they don't work.

They just throw a lua error as soon as I tap the button.

So either it's just not possible or I just did something stupid. I don't know enough about lua and plugins to be able to know.

Oh well. I tried. :-(

A long time ago the devs changed it so youu can't use a plugin to control ship moveents. It was to stop people from making auutomatic combat bots and such.
