See Foo Fighter's Betting Shop ingame to place a bet. Bets are only valid when the stake is fully paid up. Minimum 100,000c, Maximum $3M per bet ($7M positions per Client). DNF and No-show also count as a loss.

Note that "The Betting Shop" is the proper vehicle for receiving and paying out monies going forward. TBS is fully underwritten by a large chunk equity capital from the partners, to assure payout on all bets. It may be possible for one of the partners to handle bets as agent, by arrangement, but TBS should be your first call.

You should allow people to bet on themselves. What you should not do is take bets on yourself.

Yeah Harpo I guess I'm getting different conflicting requests / demands / advice on that. If Foo Fighter won, people would not be happy if they didn't have the chance to bet on F.F. What The Betting Shop should not do is take bets on myself (F.F.) and then not turn up, or try not to win. I can assure you that Foo Fighter races at 101% - just check my times :-)

I like the idea of not alllowing somone to place bets on anyone who is not registered 24 hours in advance. thats why we all have a chance to bet on him. I still think if that person does win with no bets on them the prize should go to the 2nd place finisher. But i guess thats wrong too. We bet on who's gonna win so 2nd place isn't good enough. Just no one wins the bet and the house keeps the money. Like a real casino.

I can see where Harpo is coming from though. i know that Foo is a honest person and can and will always give 110%. thats just how he is. But VO doesn't really allow for you to have an alt we know about, handle the money and we still know its you. If no one knew foo was "the betting shop" too, then maybe it would be different.

Ok its like a the head booky is also a jockey in the horse race. He might win or lose, but we have no idea if hes doing it for himself or for the shop. Its a conflict of interest that i think needs to be discussed and kept out in the open.

I'm not sure what the best solution is. I trust foo so i know hes honest. But there is a clear conflict of interest on foo racing at all.

In addition this week we will be giving out a $1.5M prize in a lottery. Each $0.5M of Bets will give you a free numbered ticket. At the end of the run, a random (integer) number will be generated and the lucky holder with the matching number will get this $1.5M prize, irrespective of the outcome of their bet :-)

The Betting Shop will also be donating prize monies to certain player-run events and competitions.

Hi Punters

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond race organizer's control, Deneb Run 110 was canceled this week. (The Divinia A13 WH sector was borked and we had at least 3 people stuck there, stuck on loading screen).

Ever ready to organize something, our valiant (and versatile) MC Miharu threw together a quick Corporate Sector Run (CSR 22) instead, and some of our intrepid racers showed up for that, so we could still go racing :-)

As per the T&C all bets for DR110 are off. In the interests of fair play all punters have the option to either:
- roll over their bet to next week, when DR110 will finally be held (I will honor your bet at the original odds) or
- be refunded in full, their monies, and cancel the bet.
at each players choice.

Nevertheless, since we wanted to give something back to our clients, the mini-Lottery was held anyway. A random number picked by independent auditor Ecka Estenk : 13 was the winning ticket. Congratulations, you have a payout of $1.5M mini-Prize. A mini-lottery will also be offered next week, entrance is free.
