Hello, I had posted this in another guilds forums(tgft) but was told that they do not use Voice comms, so i did the copy paste thingy. Please read, if you like what u see, pls contact me. Darq

Been gaming online since 2000(first with jumpgate, then bought VO, didn't like it, went to EQ, stayed there with a 55 barbarian Shammy(got sick of SoE) after that, i got really sick of medevil mmo's, went and then hooked up with Eve, and stayed about a year or 2 there, and prollw would still be there if they wouldn't had nerfed EW. Went to WoW, was on the lightinghoof server where i was a tree Healing Druid with several guilds. Saw that they did some revampin with VO when i was checking out SWG(which i saw on mmorpg.com) disliked Swg, since there wasn't much to do, and still didn't like SoE. I've currently been playing VO for bout a week now. my stats are 1/1/0/2/3 I wanna RP a miner, but i am willin to do all things.(except Prat, if ur guild likes prats, then we can stop right now. I do not like player pirates, or basically any other kinda "evil" chars in game)

Basically I play/live via my MMO motto "To Protect The Helpless From The Heartless" I work 7am to 3pm with wednesday and thursdays off, you'll prolly see me online around anywhere from 6pm to 9pmish(sometimes later somtimes earilier) I like corps who are active, and who have a "family" kinda attitude. Also like active forums(though, that's prolly one of the hardest things to get with guilds and mmo's) Anyhoo. Another Must is Voice comms. If your guild doesn't have Voice comms, then, i'll prolly not join. If u do have voice conns(vent or TS, or whatever u choose to use, but you never use em, then once again, prolly won't join.) now basically me and VO? I'm a total newb. I read up on some stuff, and been figuring out gameplay and mechanics, before I dive headlong into RP. most of the other mmo's i been a kinda jack of all trades officer type(helpin peeps, organizing stuff etc etc etc) I like doing that, but in order for me to do that, i gotta know the Game first well that's me in a nutshell. If your interested, talk to me in 100 or private message me. I would like to set up a time when a recruiter and me can talk to see if I'm what your lookin for in a new recruit.

You come expecting too much, methinks. For VO.
A) Active guilds are few and far between. TGFT, Itan and PA are the only ones that spring to mind that have anything near the numbers you are probably thinking of. And that's still only 5 or so online at a time during prime time weekdays max.
(TGFT are hardcore traders, Itan are Itani nationalists and PA are um... a shady trader group? Dunno how to describe them better)
B) Voice communications, like TS or Vent, are not really used here. Players have started general use and guild servers many times but they really go unused.
I could go into my opinions on other stuff, but this is what you asked for.

I could go into my opinions on other stuff, but this is what you asked for.
Some players also use Skype but that has its own limitations.
Nobody really wants to hear anyone's voice in-game: imagine how it would ruin the concept of Manharu for Daggoth!
SCAR probably won't fit with your mining RP aspirations, but if you're Serco (red) check us out. We have a TS server too!

Well I hope this will change. the game so far looks nice, and i would like to get some stratagizing going on in here. Eve had that, Tons of that, it was just the fact the learning curve and the training took Way too long(i'm literally talking Actual years here folks). and i'm not really lookin for quanity, i'm looking for quality. I wouldn't care if it's a 5 man corp, just as long as they were on when i'm normally on, and the fact they like using voice commands.

now to whistler. I never said i didn't like it being in the RP section, i was just asking you to expand your board. most of the mmo's i played have the rule that your in RP 24/7 when posting something in the RP forum, but each mmo is different, and if you want guild stuff in RP, not a prob.
well that pretty much sums it up. I never expected to be a part of a large guild, i just wanted to join up with a group of players, and get some new internet buddies. but for me half of the fun is hearin em talkin really bout nothing, inbetween the "intense" times of squad tactics and warefare.

However, this holier-than-thou, this-is-how-the-big-boys-do-it attitude will lead you unto both harsh pwnage (VO's twitch combat system means that neither your oodles of time sunk into gaming, nor your voice comms with anybody who might want to play with your sanctimonious ass, will save you from more experienced or naturally talented pilots) and social isolation in a fairly insular community that's already entirely aware of how VO differs from other games (and that knows why it so differs--knowledge that you, too, might come to possess without pissing people off were you to read the goddamn forums for a couple of hours before slamming through the doors of the VO saloon).

I would suggest looking for a place in The Syndicate. I know you've said you're looking for a large non-pirate guild, but I think you and the syndicate will be a good fit for two reasons. First off, as best as I can tell, syn's a guild of miners at this point, so the whole piracy thing won't be a problem for you. Secondly, having taken a look at some of your forums posts, as you've suggested, I have decided that you are the sort of person the syndicate caters to. Alright, who am I kidding. You think i'm being haughty and sanctimonious because of what i said. Negative, i was being honest. I was being New. I don't know jack sh@t about VO, and i wanted to learn. I have a rather large optamistic attitude when i start playing any mmo. I work 40 hours a week, spend time with my wife, and other things. So why do i wanna waste my time playing a game that after a week or a month, i'm Not gonna be able to get into. That's just wasting time. Another thing Sparky(yea i'm pretty sure we're not gonna like each other now) I do read the forums, I read the entire backstory when i was doing mining in the beginning, all 12 pages worth, i also asked where i could find info about our npc enemie AI, and read some of "Jex Kerome's take on the Chronicles of Exile". If you would stop ridiculing everybody and took the time and energy to actually see that, you might have noticed that my post's are from a guy who has a "happy" attitude, and was just tryin to see what's up. A guy who was tryin to fit in a guild and such. But so far all i get from VO is Och, I soooo wish I could get in-game long enough to chew this one up and spit 'em out. Maybe Tumble can do the honors or I'll do my best to evilly shoot 'im up. Since Mr. Lector and stumblemonster ain't hanging around... I mean don't get me wrong(who am i kidding, you already have) there are some descent peeps in here, but really peeps, how about take this attitude. . . if the dude isn't out right flaming, then why should you?
About twitch gaming. Jumpgate is Twitch gaming, i spent alot of time in there, but got sick of the fact that the econ wasn't right(they catered to the pvp'rs by stocking all npc stations with Everything, so mining and trade meant jack sh@t) and ND had basically giving up on jg back then. Now, JG has about 4-9 online at any givin time, and to be honest, i didn't wanna do the same stuff over again to get back where i left off so long ago. But in JG's hayday, if you wanted to be in a good pvp guild, Voice comms were highly stressed.
