20:00 GMT, location to be announced.

Reading back, it looks like Sunday went well, so let's adhere to the native KoS rule until we have better ways to distinguish teams.

Hope to see you there,

Gerty

On the issue of stopping the fight to deal with intruders...

I agree in principle, but I don't think it works in practice. With everyone concentrating on their present fights, it's a bit optimistic to think everyone will break off at once and take care of it. Plus, said intruder simply returns in less than a minute and starts it again.

Until we have a better way of enforcing bans...

Sunday went well, and the native KoS rule was not enforced. The point behind pausing the NW in the case of an interference is to deal with the intrusion and then move the war somewhere else, to make it harder to repeatedly disrupt in a short period of time.

Sounds like a plan AoD, I'm certainly not against doing things that way.

As it is, I'm still buried in work here, so if anyone else wants to host today, I'll run in and hand over the prize money. I'll check in-game soon.

Midweek Nation War #113 • June 10th, 2009

Mighty Deeds and Mayhem! That was a good match, and thanks for the turnout. The Itani outlfought all opposition with four surviving members– Ghost, iry, spidey and The Aviator. Congrats to ye!

Our teams were...

Grey:Azrael, Chaakin Tockoa, TheBlackFlag

Itani: Ghost, iry, keeroo, Shark, spidey, The Aviator, Tumblemonster, Yoda (nothing surprises us anymore!)

Serco: Aelius Sejanus, capote, Greben, Keria willennium, Mr. Chaos, Riddick willennium, Schelling, The Serconian

UIT: Boran Mur, Conflict Diamond (first appearance at NW), Ecka Estenk, Gerty

Spectating: LiderWarrior

This Nation War was sponsored by generous contributions from: Faustino Bashkir and The Phoenix Alliance.

In light of the present chaos, I would like to point out that this is Nation War, so it would be fitting if participants stuck with thier character's nation, excepting Grey. Call me crazy. If that doesn't suit, we could always do a Wednesday Team Furball or somesuch, but give regard to NW as it stands. Thoughts welcome.

That was the closest nation war in a while. All of the itani survivors had below 25% I think.

Almost. Snapshot says: Ghost (that's you) at 12.5%, iry 12.5%, spidey 31.2%, and the Aviator at 18.8%.

Damn that spidey! :)

Argish, Gerty. You should have said something if you were unhappy with the compromise we reached in last Sunday's NW thread.

Actually, I'm not sure what you mean, I was out of it pretty much since last Wednesday. I'll read back again and see. If it makes a difference, here's what I'm trying to do -

Help keep NW going, and get more players involved if I can.

Get everyone focused back on the basic fun, and less with the politics. The politics matter, but if the fun is gone, they don't matter.

Get into making something go for the heck of it. So many moments in life, fewer you can choose to be in.

Not meant as a rebuttal, I'm just arguing to what I see as the core of the thing.

did i really read tumblemonster?
Jun 10, 2009 Gerty link
For whatever joy it gives you, Tumblemonster is listed pey.

I find it strange that people make alts to pull others around. I did so, in part, to join NWs on different teams, and it didn't work. Maybe the way to go, for you, is to make a meaningful peace, as yourself, with everyone you offended and go from there. It's not as hard as it seems.

uh what?

Was friendly fire lifted in all of grey space yet?

If yes, then it might be time to reinvent this event. More of a multi team furball, like was mentioned, rather than Nation scuffles. It was only a "Nation War" because of the friendly fire restrictions before.

moldyman: not just that I think it was a way to get your nation to fight together.

Pheer me!

you could limit each team to 8 and then allow any faction....
Jun 14, 2009 moldyman link
I would know, Bess, I started the event :P

How about splitting participants into 4 teams. Have two teams fight each other at a time, eliminate the losers and the winners fight each other. A mini-tournament, if you will.

It could be done with multi-teams in one sector, but I think it'd get too confusing as to who is on whos team.

Not really there is your team and then theres everyone else....
