LOL... I saw this lot talking about all that crap when i was playing yesturday, and i was thinking that any minute a Guide would shut them up cos it was blatently offensive... Obviously i was wrong... How many guides are there? There are clearly not enough...

actually I never hated it, if somebody uses it as a chatroom. At least if we get to some flying or playing the game.
It encourages socialness and wasn't that one of your prime things that had to be in a MMORPG celebrim? (please don'tflail me if I am a little bit wrong, but I thought i read it somewhere a whole time ago, so if I'm wrong just blame my memory ;))

Please tell me i'm not the only one who finds something just the LEAST bit wrong with how both those chat logs played out. More so with the second one. Personally I think the guides are doing a great job, and there can't be to many of them. Although as a community we can kill crap like that ourselves, there is a mute command, and if they continue to blatently abuse the priviledge of chat, then I think they shouldn't be allowed to chat. We are beta testing a game, its one thing to come online and chat with those friends, but another to come on just to create a stinkin AOL likeness chat room.
Mind being a little bit more specific Jorus? :) IE what's wrong either either of the chat logs?

Since guides aren't on 24/7, I think the only proof positive way to stop this sort of behavior is to simply save error.log files of the offending individual. When you've got an archive of 'em with repeated instances, e-mail a dev with the logs attached. It's a hell of a lot more reliable and easier than dealing with shady guides that operate behind curtains.

Since guides aren't on 24/7, I think the only proof positive way to stop this sort of behavior is to simply save error.log files of the offending individual. When you've got an archive of 'em with repeated instances, e-mail a dev with the logs attached. It's a hell of a lot more reliable and easier than dealing with shady guides that operate behind curtains.

Example #1 is not an exaggeration. Take a closer look. Although it's not shown in the chat, one of the players at the time also had the "F" word in his name.

Nope you are right about 1, but in my opinion blitz wasn't in it, it was the other one.
The explanation I gave concerned 2 , and yes I know you aren't an arab, and blitz knows that to, but he was joking for good sake, at least that is the way I understood it. If he meant it he would have really said it in another way, just believe me.
Oh and besides for some persons the difference between an arab and a Turkish persons isn't noticeable, but for me and you it is in fact noticeable. Besides blitz never acted like that against me, he has only tryijng to piss you off, so the best way to counter that is putting him on ignore. And the reason why he does it , is because you killed him a lot in the beginning of his game (you know the pirating and all). And for some people it is very difficult to let that loose, it would be the same as seeing icarus stopping with pirating, a lot of people got hurt during his time as a pirate and a lot of people will try to take revenge for the pirating. And it will even happen after they turned to the good side (or started to see the light ;)). It isn't nice at all, but it is a result from your actions and you wil have to carry that burden and try to resolve it in a nice way, and not by trying to ban the guy.
If I return, I will try to talk with blitz, and see if I'm able to alter his stance, but untill that day , just ignore him ;)

Non-specific criticism of the Guides in game and out actually compounds the problem by creating suspicion and decreasing respect / compliance.
