LOST AND FOUND, HYDROSPANNER

Apr 29, 2008 ryan reign link
i was wondering...has anyone completed this mission? i blasted so many bots I lost count, flew across sectors for hours. but none of them dropped a hydrospanner. is there a mission bug? or is it simply the longest most drawn out mission in the history of vo? or am i missing some key aspect?

In the mission text they will say sector X. In that sector one of the bots will have it.

I guess I'll have to come back in-game, even if only to do that mission.

yeah.. but how many times does this freak lose his toy? I brought it back to him for perhaps three times and I can do the mission again and again.

It's not worth it, tosh.

I had like 50 hydrospanners when this mission first came out. Never did me any good. I can span the F**K out of water tho.

Actually, the name is a contraction of Hydraulic Spanner. Basically, its a high-tech wrench. Literally.

I always preferred to think of it as a high-tech name for a low-tech pipe wrench.

I thought Ray was using a Star Wars reference.

"Horizontal boosters...! Alluvial damper...! Ow! That's not it. Bring me the hydrospanner!"

LOL

Fixing the Millennium Falcon on Hoth:

"No no! THAT goes there, THIS goes here!"
...
"Turn it off! Turn it off! Turn it off!" <pop sizzle burn>

I love Empire Strikes Back.

Memories of Star Wars back before it was ruined by its own creator. Definitely one of the best scenes. I need to watch it again, though, for the technobabble... does he really say "alluvial damper?" What does sediment deposited by a river have to do with making your space ship fly? I think this is off-topic now.

Also, Han shot first. There is no other version of Star Wars. I refuse to admit otherwise.
