The doctor isn't trying to help anyone Jayalanferguson. As for your question, not sure don't have a xoom, but best would be to submit a support ticket to the devs or create a new thread in the android forum. Coming to an unrelated thread and posting bugs isn't likely to get them noticed, support emails are answered by the devs the first chance they get, and they have been watching the android forum more frequently then this thread due to influx of xoomers.

Most veteran players do not have the xoom, so we can really only direct you to the proper way to get support. I hope you'll stick around so that perhaps YOU will be the veteran xoom user.

Jayalan: We responded to your post on the Android forum. Also, creating a support ticket (left side menu, bottom option) is the best option for a quick response.

Lecter: As an FYI to the sarcastic peanut gallery, being unable to pass character select can be indicative of a problem with the newbie sectors, which.. while rare, has happened occasionally in the past.

Inc.: As an FYI to the (as per usual) uncomprehending Dev set, I was ridiculing his mindless approach to the problem, rather taking a position as to whether the problem itself was a result of your buggy game or his room temperature IQ.
