Just curious, what music do you guys listen to (if any) while playing Vendetta? This is excluding ambient7.ogg, of course :p. I personally like to groove to Led Zepplin. It gets me pumped for dueling!

I just put this huge-assed iTunes metal playlist on random. It's got everything from Dio to Cannibal Corpse, Soulfly to Slayer and everything in between. That usually keeps me occupied.

Usually classical or instrumental rock.
I've been listening to the ROTK soundtrack lately.

I never use music in any video game I play. Always turn it off. It interfears with my ability to hear important sounds.

classical... russian easter overture, etc. after that comes movie theme music. ex) pirates of the caribbean hehe.

Seems so far I'm the only one here who goes to the electronic/industrial music:

Alice in Videoland, Assemblage 23, Bio-Tek, Chroma Key , C-Tec, Cubanate, Cyberaktif, Decree, DKay.com, E-Craft, Front Line Assembly, Lithium, Malaise, NUMB, Pitchshifter, Pro>Tech, Sundown - Glimmer, Underworld

I usually avoid the more melodic things. When softing, its more african Jazz and so on, but I've found I'm a lousy fighter when humming along to Richard Bona.

i had the parsec st as background music once (iTunes hogs too much hp), but i agree with paedric. i need silence to hear what's really important.

Haha, I guess you guys take your video games more seriously than I do. The way Vendetta is set up right now, using OSS, I actually have to choose between music and Vendetta sounds. Because I'm too lazy to figure out how the /playlist thing works, I just load a bunch of songs into XMMS and hit play.

to make a play list for vendetta open a txt file and put the full path names of the songs you want to have it access. Put them on seperate lines. Save the file as .m3u

in vendetta type /playlist [pathname]

make sure the files are .ogg

so your text file should read

d:\songs/song1.ogg
d:\songs/song2.ogg
etc

then save it as songlist1.m3u

in vendetta type
/playlist d:\songlist1.m3u

Machinae Supremacy is pretty cool. Sometimes I listen to them. You can download all their tracks in .ogg format, too.

They are quite good, a1...thanks for sharing!
