I know how some of you are Dying for CTF...
... and I've come up with a "solution". CTC!
Capture the Cargo Minigame
Class M-II: Multiplayer (2+ Nations)
Requirements
-Sector w/ Station & (roughly spherical) Asteroid Field (Ex. Odia M14)
-Stock Bus (for each participating player)
-Widget
-Scorekeeper (Optional)
Setup
-The Scorekeeper (I/A) or Host buys a cargo unit (widget) at the station and drops it in the middle of the asteroid field.
-Players back away from the widget to a distance of 1000 meters.
-The Scorekeeper (I/A) or Host will announce the start of the game.
Rules
-This is a free for all. Shoot anyone who is not on your team, especially if they picked up the cargo.
-A mandatory "alias pickup 'say_sector ***Widget taken!***'" must be bound to a key during the game, and pressed if/when you pick up the widget.
-If you have the widget, attempt to get to a safe warpout distance and do so. When you warp out of the arena, you will be declared the round's winner. Bring the cargo back to where it started, move back to 1000m and repeat.

Haha, sounds fun... how'd the first few rounds of this go?
They didn't. No one came. Problem is, nobody realizes that the only real universal requirement is that you be able to get your butt to the site of the game. No money is needed, no ships are needed; they are provided by the station in the form of EC-88s. I think the old Sector 14 would have made an excellent place for this game.

Replace the word "Cargo" with the word "Flag" and you've got it.
