Vendetta Online Needs Testers!

Sep 02, 2004 AlienB link
Hello Everyone. At one time or another you signed up for the game
Vendetta Online, or its precursor, the Vendetta Test. You also must have
checked the "send me information about Guild Software products" to have
received this.

Vendetta is going gold at the end of this week, and will be in
stores in October. Right now we really need help in testing our latest
Updater software (the downloading and patching program we use to keep the
game up to date on everyone's machines). We're also going to be giving
some special benefits to our older tester accounts, to if any of you have
an interest in the final game, now is a great time to get involved and
help us test it.
So, getting back to our immediate needs, if anyone would be
willing to update to the latest version of the game and give it a whirl,
that'd be a big help. If you have any problems or bugs, please post them
on the Bugs forum or submit them via the web bug reporter (or application
bug reporter, in the event of a game crash). Thanks much.

The website is now: http://www.vendetta-online.com

If you've forgotten your password, you can have the system help
you recover it via the same email address where this message reaches you.
If you don't want to hear from us again, simply log into your account
and uncheck the "contact me about guild's products". Your account will
eventually be expired and we won't bother you further.

Thanks again, and I hope some of you will help us make sure the
game launches solidly on all three platforms.

are you really patching the software in a daily manner? it always downloads a new version......

<edit> suck, over 50 megs to downloand...i suggest you also offer
a CD version...downloading huge updates is bad for telephone bills...that is, there is less money to spend for vendetta :D...</edit>

Most people who pay for online games have fast connections... 500+kb/s. It depends if theres a large enough outcry for a CD version as to whether one is ever released, unless its already in the pipeline that is :x

15552/55130 and counting...

Incarnate said there will be a CD-ROM version for $29.99, or a download version with an unspecified buy-in price. Also said that it would be $9.99/mo.
