Not sure I agree with either, I think its a matter of how you play, which is what makes the best RPG's, let alone, MMO's! I spent my first year on vendetta with my trusty ol stick and keyboard, (really suprised me that half you people used your mouse and a *Quake* Key setup), I twisted round roids to get away from the nasty bots in my bus, and it felt like flying to me.... didnt really get into combat at first, i learned quick to run like hell...
Then I logged for a while(about 3 months,...), and when I came back, my trusty ol stick had died (just would not centre for the life in me :(...) I played the game with the *Quake* style mouse and keyboard, felt strange at first, but I soon got used to it... I started out on my old roid rolling sessions (as I had been reset in my absence) and it felt like flying.... I also felt like combat this time, and errrm died lots... Then i started flying like a *Quake* pilot, strafing, no real forward or back momentum, did feel like quake, afterall, even though you are flying, and shooting, you are doing it First Person (Stands for First Person Shooter, errm,. I shoot, im damn sure of it, I ram too, which keeps the feeling of flying ;) Im now back to using well, sticks (think dual shock™...lol) Brill, I can still blat with it too :)
So i think it sits quite nicely in BOTH genres - off my soapbox for now ;)

But you have a good point, it seems to be what you make of it. At least for us who are already into it. I just worry about whether this game will sell based on the "labels".
May be I should stop worrying about marketing this game (since I'm not part of the marketing team at Guild) and play.
