Economy question

Sep 12, 2004 Wubby link
I am having fun right now zooming from station to station compiling item data. Is the economy system expected to change drastically before or after the game release? I just want to know if I'm wasting my time and should wait. I have items, station names and location, etc. Is this all going to be useless in a month?

Wubby, refer to the thread titled "Station Locations and Contents" started by RelayeR below. One of the Devs answered the question....

Wubby... you're not Trey, are you?

I don't think you're who I think you are.

danielky, No. I'm SlowerTarget.

NoAddedSugar... The zooming isn't wasted, its the time spent on making a DB, setting up spreadsheets, writing stuff down, etc. But I do like the zooming part!

I said this (basically) in the other thread, but... Station names and locations are 99% finalized, we may move one or two if for some reason we find it necessary, but no changes are planned. The station models will change. Trade goods and equipment will change.

Thanks, Vlad. I read the other thread and thats what I got out of it.

No prob. But if I could ask one more question about it... Are the item NAMES going to change? I know you mean that each station will get different stuff, but is the list of stuff (universe wide) going to change names? I just want to know if I'll have to scrap everything and start over.

Thanks!!!

Ahh, no, I don't have plans to change the names of the trade goods. We'll be changing equipment around a bit though. (What the hell is a "Graviton Blaster" anyway?!)

"What the hell is a "Graviton Blaster" anyway?!)"

It's a gun who blasts out gravitons.

Next question? :-)
