so much fun...but..(suggestion)

this game is aweomse - the flight controls are amazing it caters to every whim - u can do babylon 5 type manuvers, and fly like start trek if u want...

the guns are fun...

i just wish i had a couple launchers or something...progression seems slow, have to kill hundreds of enemies to get even the first upgrade...but thats ok...its a great game - enjoying it.

but my only complaint is how it handles cargo...i mean i can never tell whats in the cargo bay - only got those tiny little icons - and u cant even scan cargo (as far as i know)

it woudl be nice to have an interactive cargo bay - and pick and choose what i jettison/keep

Yeah it would be nice for me to be able to scan the contents of a ship, so i can pick my targets a bit better.... firing on hi cargo ships instead of ships holding water lol

Numerous people have suggested that you be able to scan ships for cargo and one of the devs (raybondo) said there might be a special scanner for that. I think your suggestion of having an interactive cargo bay is a good one! You might want to post that over in the suggestions forum.

You *can* scan a cargo pod before you pick it up. Just target it using "g" and then hit "k"

If you want some cool *cough*illegal*cough* weapons (including rocket launchers) try making a trip to Corvus space, if you can survive the journey ;).

I think he was talking about what -he- was carrying in his cargo bay. The icons are not exactly clear as to what they represent, and we have no 'ship status' screen to see what we're carrying.

Sorry, Phaserlight, misread your post, didn't realize you'd addressed the original post. :)

As for targeting a cargo pod, I've never seen it say anything but 'Cargo'.. And when I hit 'k', I get my personal status.

I've killed 150 bots, I'm 3/2/1/0 and have a vulture mk.III with a heavy battery, dual tachs, and this is after about 3 hours of play.
It's really more of a "know how to play" thing guys, it doesnt take very much time at all to level up.

yeah, the fast way is to stay with the Dentek's until the mission terminate, for me it was after ~120 kills, and my XP is good for level 4 combat, don't remember S weapon, L weapon, maybe 1 or 2.
Now I only need to kill a few transport bots until I can pay for the licenses.
I think it will take little more then 3 hour for a beginner, but it will give some practice.

Now going for money and trading XP's so I can get something better to fly.
