Please keep the torrents seeded. We suddenly had an additional thousand people sign up for the beta right after we released on Weds. We're going to send out keys to all of them on Monday.

Thanks for your help, everyone.

I promise not to turn off the computer before I leave for work this time! :) (old habits die hard!) especially when someone doesn't tell you to leave the computer on.....

Seeded, but the university might take exception to a lot of bandwidth use. We'll see...

No problem!

I will seed all three platform installs using my T1 from Choice One (what a crappy ISP!!). My ISP may suck, but I still have more upstream than most cable and dsl users, and a block of static IPs on my own cisco router. :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Bump!

Bandwidth used for seeding since Saturday:

Win32: 718 MB
Linux: 115 MB
Mac: 86 MB

Those numbers should climb pretty quick on Monday!

I had about 3.5gb on the win installer from weds - friday. I realized after that that with that sort of upload I might draw the attention of the campus-warez police.

I'll ninja seed on monday and kill it after another gb or so, i guess. :/

I'm seeding again as well, but don't have the bandwidth some of you guys do :P

Edit: there are 18 seeds no peers at the moment :s

Bump, again!

Bandwidth used for seeding since Saturday:

Win32: 1366 MB
Linux: 251 MB
Mac: 137 MB

So, I take it the next round of invites will not occur until the lag issue is resolved? Is this still going down today? Just curious... I will keep seeding!!
Oct 04, 2004 genka link
I've heard the lag thing was resolved, and during the half-an-hour of playing I did today, everything was running smoothly.

I suspect the patch will be delayed slightly, since I suspect a1k0n is going through the netcode with a battleaxe at the moment. To say nothing of regular bugfixes.
Oct 04, 2004 Yokom link
For us that are new to torrents how do you place a file up for download? Can we get a link of some easy help to set it up.
Oct 04, 2004 a1k0n link
Yokom, you simply click the torrent link and when it asks you where to save the file, try to save over your already-existing copy. It will "resume" the entire file, declare it done, and then share it for others.

So... how much longer do you need us to keep seeding? 7:00PM CST Tonight? (24 hours from announcments?)

Bandwidth used for seeding since Saturday:

Win32: 4399 MB
Linux: 559 MB
Mac: 325 MB

Just let me know, I will keep seeding till I am told otherwise...
