Makchuga Bar and Tavern Website Update
We've just finished moving all of the site off of http://makchuga.itanialliance.com and updating it to make it more streamlined.
The new url is http://makchuga.tejat.net -- please update your bookmarks, as the old site will be going down in a few weeks when the domain becomes unregistered!
Quoted from the news page on the new site:
...give a big round of applause (or sunflares or swarms or geminis or whatever) to Solra for helping us put the site together! With the Lua scripting he's done for us updating the website has become very easy; our staff pages have our license levels updated directly from the VO webserver.
Please visit the site and tell us what you think! If there's something horribly wrong, Solra's usually around to be pestered into fixing it, so please let us know.
We hope to see you soon!
Miharu

Can I pester Solra about Desperation 2?

That's up to him, but I'll let him know you're curious when I see him next.
...though *I* don't consider that to be horribly wrong and having to do with the Makchuga website... >_>

Make sure you disparage and slander the previous web host. You have to. It's tradition.
I'd rather not. You were quite courteous (still are) and were very quick to help sort out FTP issues when we first started out.
You were even kind enough to let me know that the itanialliance.com domain was going to go kaput shortly. If you hadn't, we wouldn't have gotten the new one done so quickly ;)

C'mon, it's tradition to slam the previous webhost! By not doing so, you risk disrupting the spacetime continuum.
Just like it's tradition to blame everything that goes wrong on the previous fella, or alternatively on the guy who just left.

Um, may I make a quick suggestion? The menu could use being a little more visible, I may just be blind, but grey on black is a little hard to read.
The rest is great, like it used to be :)
Yeah, well now that I've said what I was gonna say, I guess it's time to go back on patrol before I blurt out something stupid....

Yeah, actually, the menu color scheme is the first thing that's getting redone. (It was the first thing that crossed my mind when we first finished the menu, and it was mentioned in web design class today when I showed a friend the site.)
I'd like to avoid it being as colorful as the old menu, but we are most certainly open to suggestions.
Though I should note that the background isn't black, it's #191923 (roughly 10% red and green saturation and 13% blue saturation, a dark blue-grey color), and the text is #6E6E6E (roughly 43% red, green and blue saturation, a pale grey color).
But yes, I will see about changing the font and/or color of the text in the menu so that it is easier to read on the background.

Only thing I can think of is making the font white (like it is here) Or vice versa.
I like the menu :)
Is it better now?

Well, back to my patrol.....
