i will try to make it
Random name / Blue Max

A little food for thought: What if instead of going by most kills, we were to subtract deaths from kills and judge the winner by that?
/me *waves* vigorously at Tumblys... you are one fun guy... I'm going to work on my schedule, starting now - because I'd like to make one of your events... hehe...
Ghost: That's an interesting idea. The bad thing I see happening is people being too careful avoiding death, and ending up seeing a lot of running away and less good combat.
What does everyone think?

I say Ghost's smoking whatever it is that Morentin smokes. Leave well enough alone; we want a massive gankfest, not a massive runfest.
/me brushes the flea jexkerome aside
What I'm saying is, anyone can come in and nuke someone with flares and then die. If deaths were subtracted from kills, killing one person before dying yourself would leave you at 0 still. It's actually the standard form for a lot of FPS games and would reward those who were able to kill more than one person before dying. As for it turning into a massive runfest, well, running doesn't get you kills. And as tumble stated in the rules, repairing and reloading aren't allowed anyways. So running really doesn't help. However, this would make the event rely more on the honor system to count your own deaths (unless you want to tally up each person's specific kills) and judging how there might be people like jex there, trusting people to do anything by the honor system might not be a good idea.
Anyhow, it's a cool event either way. To avoid cheating (or a lot of work to prevent people from cheating) I suppose it might be better off to do it your original way, tumble. Just thought I'd throw some food for thought out there.

/me will keep taunting Ghost as long as he keeps flinching!
Your standards are dropping jex! You can do better. That was a C-. Bah.
On topic : can't kill if you keep running. You can always have a consolation "prize" for best kill-death score too.

Oo, yeah, that's what we'll do. Best kill to death ratio wins 150k. Done.
Ratio is not a good meter, tumble. I can get an infinity by killing someone and then running to infinity.
Also, a 2-0 ratio and 10-0 is essentially a tie...
You should go for kill-death difference.

First, it's unlikely anyone will escape with no deaths(no one ever has), so a X:0 ratio is unlikely. Second, if you run to infinity or in fact leave the combat area at all, you're disqualified. That said, someone who gets 2 kills and 1 death vs someone who gets 10 kills and 5 deaths, yeah, problem. Instead, how about we go with kills minus deaths for the side prize?
how bout, instead of K/D
you just go with K-D
you just go with K-D
One day away! Guides, any news on whether one of you will be able to help out?
hey tumble, unless I'm still banned from your events (sorry <.<) I'll be seeing you there!
Nothin' better then a rough-and-tumble, not to mention one with a reward for the winner.

No one is banned from my events.
mr_spuck will give every participant the amount of kills from all players added together times 1000 in credits. :D
1. disqualified players neither get any money nor are their kills counted to the credits
2. players must at least contribute 1% to the kills to get moneys
(no sitting in the station till the end)
3. players must at least contribute 1% to the kills to be counted to the score.
Percentages are always rounded up.
100 kills means 1 kill for you and 101 kills 2 for you. and so on.
