Aha, did not having to worry about storms in newbie systems let you shave a minute or two off your time?

I wouldn't attribute his win to that. When I set that record I actually hit 1 ion storm. So I knew even without the infini-boost Rune Valk, someone would beat my time eventually.

Using some lua hacks, Erik and I both beat Ghost's record on the test server with the beta UI clients by over a minute, more in Erik's case.
