Free Trade Declares Peace in Latos

If I had more than words to prod you with, baba, I would personally make it apparent to you just how far you have erred from the mark. The infrastructure for such a force is already in place, all that is required is the resolve to use it.

I openly admit that I am by no means a stellar combat pilot, but it is not skill in combat that will bring your downfall. We have an entire nation's resources to support us, while you have only what you have stolen. It is merely a matter of attrition to defeat you.

At the very least, you underestimate the power of words.

Woah, not 'impersonally' but personally make him aware! Oooo.

The issue here, however, is that your united force cannot function as you think it would absent a serious alteration in the game mechanics.

Observe:

Hi, I'm Dr. Lecter. I pirate in UIT and Itani space, and tend to trade/mine in Serco space. Nice to meet ya. Now... pay me 250,000 credits or I'll boom yer fat, cargo laden arse.

When I need to rack up a few million credits an hour, I trade. I'm safe doing that in Itani or Serco space. +999 standing ftw. If I only want to make a few hundred thousand per mothload, I mine heliocene. There's lots of it.

But when I'm feeling frisky, I grab me a Hog II and go to [Metana/Verasi/Latos/Dau/Arta C.] and settle in. Now, all those places have two things in common: (1) they're unmonitored by the local faction with which I'm beloved, and/or (2) there's a lot of local factions that also love me, as opposed to the guys who monitor the space where I'm pirating.

So, what happens is I run around or sit still, SF depending, and I pop me some traders. Or n00blets. Whatever. And nothing happens to my standing, because a) it's already KOS or b) there's no monitoring. And when some unfriendly bloke like that no talent ass-clown VPR Mr. Strat shows up, well, I can do one of two things. Pop him, or leave for the nearest friendly station, which is always just a jump away. There I deposit my loot, rearm and repair, and so on and so forth.

Then I rinse and repeat. This works wonders, even if there's a bunch of unfriendly no talent ass-clowns. And, since there's only one or maybe two of me, I can always vanish off to somewhere new. Then the group of UNTACs has to (1) figure out where I've moved my nefarious operations and then (2) get their group over there. Logistical realities are a bitch, huh.

If anyone or ones gets overzealous and tries to camp me, well, they won't do it for long. +990 tends to make [Axia, BioCom, Valent, Tunguska, etc.] very touchy about people killing me.

In conclusion, your "united front" is stuck working within the current game framework, and being so stuck, can't do anything more than form a mob and attack us pirates in space we're hated in or which is unmonitored. Which, in case you'd missed it, is exactly how we already fight (minus the ganking thing; we're all about quality over quantity).

How true. Effective measures against pirates currently cannot be taken, unless they try to claim portions of space as their own, when they commit themselves to a specific location. Basics of guerrilla warfare.

The most effective defense would probably be traders who can actually defend themselves (which means convoys), and I'm not talking about a select few, but across the boards. Hey, a man can dream.

We're already filthy rich, and we're getting richer every second. You don't have a nations resources behind you, you have a couple of sissy ass wannabe guilds who charge their members to belong. We PWN you in every way. I've got half a billion credits and can STILL kick your ass in a fight. Ask billionaire anivett if he can make the same claim.

Ah, my mistake. Baba isn't trying to argue: little wonder why his post doesn't address points (while accusing me of the same). Instead, he is just.. lying. Not even good ones. Good show.

So how exactly is it CDC's or SSC's fault? Besides our continued existence and chance to breath.

breathe
Dec 19, 2006 moldyman link
Yes, thank you. Chance to breathe. With an E...

It is AWESOME that moldyman automatically accepted that the CDC and SSC are the "sissy ass wannabe guilds" I am referring to...

LOVE IT! OWNED.
Dec 19, 2006 moldyman link
Funny, quotes usually mean that you're repeating something from before. Nope, don't see "sissy ass wannabe guilds" before.

Anyway, we "wannabe" what exactly? Like you? I'd be a sissy asshole instead, to be quite honest.
Dec 19, 2006 tumblemonster link
You didn't see it because you're stupid. I'll add "stupid" to the "sissy ass wannabe guilds" descriptor.

Scroll up stupid. I've made it bold and underlined so as to be easier to see. Too bad VO's board doesn't support a [blink] tag...

LOL @Aramarth/vIsitor (they are the same person right?) . . . No clue what I'm supposed to be lying about, but hey, I'm an ebil pirate, eh . . . we lie, cheat and steal right? And you bet I'm not trying to argue . . . there's nothing to argue about. And if there is . . . take it up with our cannibalistic (is there any other kind?) lawyer. (He's a hell of a good arguer, I must say.)

This thread is too dumb . . . and you have no memory moldypuppy. The start of this whole thing was basically your, Jex/Joyce's, and Miharu's, behavior towards tumblemonster and myself. Remember the (infamous) /Vote Mute Incident? Since then you all have continued to dig yourselves in deeper with your mouths. (How's that muck taste?)

And @Lexicon . . . yep, so fine that I responded to stupidity (of course) instead of cleverness . . . and am still doing it. Blahhh.

We WILL be taking yer CARGOES . . . and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it ('cept learn too fight/run maybe).
Dec 19, 2006 moldyman link
Yes, the command is /vote mute "name" . Use it against whoever you wish.

Thank tumble, bold and underline really brings it out. Glad only the CDC and SSC pushed you from your native home in Latos to Dau. Glad we get ALL the credit. Because we are so totally awesome, kthxbai.

Bidi, as long as there are assholes, I will educate others in how to shut them up. Really, go on a campaign to shut me up; Tell everyone "Remember the command is /vote mute "Erik C.", I don't care. You forget the one most important thing behind all the "campaigning" and "educating others about the command" at it is this:

There had to be a willingness from the ignorant user to shut you up anyway.

Oh, I'd still rather be a stupid sissy asshole then you tumble. Need to add a few more phrases.

PS - Don't forget to blame me for the /ignore command "education" too! Everyone should hear you!

Keep on digging moldy. Beware the sides don't collapse on you though, that hole is getting deep.

(Where'd your mentors go? Haven't heard much from Joyce/Miharu lately.)

Excellent! A deflective answer followed by a personal jab trying to make me worried.

The pinnacle of diplomacy and politics.

Oh, and to make sure I don't deflect, I believe they're trying to stay away from a topic that's now pointless and nothing but flames. As you said you would, but never did.

Well this went to hell in the 5 hours since I last looked at it! So if we can't get back into character AND "be nice" (within reason for rp purposes of course - and we're currently beyond that) there's going to be lockage.

Are we done here anyway?
Dec 19, 2006 tumblemonster link
Moldymonk, you're a massive tool.

Ok, Im done!
