The Phoenix Rises

The Phoenix Alliance has exerted its control over Bractus M-14, bringing an end to the nationalist furor over the backwater station. Early attempts to bring it back under nationalist control have failed, amid heavy skirmishing.

"Grey space for greyspacers!" was the cry as the final defenses fell and heavily-armed PA members stormed the station. Brief corridor fighting gave way to capitulation, as guild officials, under heavy guard, positioned new station defenses.

"The citizens of Bractus deserve a respite from the constant warzone conditions caused by the battles between ONE and Itan over this strategic station. It is our hope that by assuming command we can alleviate the suffering of thousands, and bring the refugee citizens of Bractus IX back home," stated Lieutenant Interstellar. "At the very least, we have aid ships en route to the surface as we speak, and will continue supporting humanitarian efforts both planetside and above."

While hostilities are expected to continue into next month, many are hopeful that this signals the beginning of the end of the rampant firefights surrounding the recently discovered Bractus station. Whatever the outcome, PA pledges that its station will remain open to all law-abiding citizens of greyspace, and that their safety will be assured by the augmented station defenses.

At this point are you not calling ONE and Itan "law-abiding citizens of greyspace"?
Aug 28, 2010 diqrtvpe link
No, we've offered them keys, subject to their not then attacking the station.

What was Itan's response?

I'll let you know as soon as I receive it. :P

I would like to remind any Serco or Itani nationalists that Pheonix Alliance is an evil corporation-by-another name that is worse than the bilge rats at the Union of Independent Territories. This is simply a guise for an attempt to impose an order that does not exist over the un-alligned territories so their rich and super-rich members can make more money. If any of ya do the silly thing of actually accepting station access from these lubbers, then the crew of one of your favorite Corvus station will pick some random day within the next month to cut yer balls off and sell them to Xang Xi ventilation overseer, Phineus Booge (Sercos, you are not excused, most Corvus stations are equipped with illegal leviathan armor-tipped industrial bandsaws for the purpose of their increased manufacturing rates).

That is all. Keep fightin' each other to the death, mates.

Heheheh, I especially like the part about imposing an order that doesn't exist, considering how much more conflict this has caused. :P

Itan has officially refused our offer of keys, preferring to retain the ability to attack the station. ONE has been making their feelings on the matter known quite a bit lately, with their guns, though they haven't yet been able to take it back.

I do appreciate your efforts to try to keep the battle alive, Chaak. In this instance, I don't think it's needed, and your ball collection will be sadly lacking.

PA scum!

your ball collection will be sadly lacking

Of course it will: there's nothing to collect from the [PA] or the Itani.

And everyone knows the Cybernetic replacements that the Serco have could hardly qualify.

This seems a great opportunity for selling Refugee Support kits to relief the poor victims from Bractus IX.

I hope that PA purchases a few thousands crates, and I will personally donate many crate to help humanitarian effort!

I find it most amusing that ITAN and ONE are working together to take the station, or has that whole thousand year itani serco thing ended in the past few weeks?
Aug 29, 2010 diqrtvpe link
They're not working together to take it. If they ever accidentally attack the station at the same time, it's likely that it would devolve into a multi-party furball of epic proportions. Hell, at that point I'd likely see if any pirates were online and able to join in, just because I've never seen a four-component furball before outside of NW, and that would be really sweet!

I express my extreme distaste for this action

[ITAN], [ONE], [TGFT], and [VPR] have long ignored the whole point of the game's plot/backstory, LNH. Nothing new about the last weeks.

ONE and ITAN will not work together to take the station from the 'humanitarian' PA. However, I doubt if we would get in each others way.

This will be interesting.

Enough ninny whining over the "Nationalistic Furor".

We fight in deneb, but grey space creates another arena for the Itani and Serco to stage their conflict.
The stations create something physical to fight over. Which in my opinion is highly valuable.

It is said in the original post "Law obiding citizens": what laws?
I was not aware grey space had laws.

TGR tried to impose some kind of order there, and as we saw, it does not work.

We shall attack the station as we please.

...says one of the few remaining ITAN.

That is pure bullshit.

We just elected council as of yesterday, with only active members, and had more poeple running than the amount required.
