Epic battle for control of Bractus M-14
Today a 4 hour fight with 20+ player ensued for control of the station. The station switched hands 4 times during that time frame. It was ITAN vs a combination of guilds including PA, TGFT, VPR and BLF (aka Ryan). Well, except the time when slime thought we were attacking instead of defending and took out a bunch of turrets.
Even though ITAN didn't win the long battle it was some of the best fun I've had in a long long time. My heart literally pounding during one of the countdowns leading to station control. Can't wait to do it again!

Yes. Excellent battle. That was the biggest and longest station battle I've seen in a long time. I'm glad that when the devs implemented my suggestion of re-spawning turrets with 10% armor, they extended it to include the initial spawn after a station is conquered. It definitely makes things interesting.
So, who controls it now?
Does it really matter Pirren? It will change hands many more times. :P
Your suggestion? ^_^
In any case, hurray for space-quake.

I love these battles for bringing lots of players together in one place I just wish fighters had a role as important as bombers and repairers in taking/defending the station.
Your basic idea, my suggestion thread with details, which credited you appropriately.
It's ok. It just amused me for some reason.
Fighters can be used very well to stop missiles from hitting their targets... Just skate along the missiles prox fuse at full turbo speed detonating them before they land their mark.
I've done this many times to save capship shields in skirms. :)

also a head on into a stack over 200m/s will do the same thing
anything less than 200m/s might result in a slight crisping
