"It's been so long since I've been space-side"

Okada said to himself, staring anxiously at the flightsuit hanging in his locker. The last time he was on a space-side mission was over two years ago. Tracking down a renegade serco who was relentless on disrupting well...everything. All for the cause of vengeance and some deluded form of justice. Okada never caught him, he vanished for almost two years. It wasn't until recently that the renegade was spotted in Odia. Okada's superiors in the Serco Dominion wanted him and only him to pursue this renegade once again. While the renegade hadn't caused any trouble, the Dominion didn't want to be blindsided.

Okada chuckled, "And after all, they may want to question him."

Okada wanted to question him.

But once the serco vanished he had a new assignment. Another headhunt if you will. Tracking down an unaligned pirate by the name of Phase. Okada loaded his sidearm while he reminisced. Phase was an interesting case. While the serco renegade was very well known, Phase was a bit more secretive. Elusive even. Phase targeted serco, specifically purified xithricite convoys. Yet, Phase never sold it to anyone. A peculiar case, one that seemed personally motivated. As if this pirate had some sort of grudge. Even more, Phase wasn't even his real name. No one knows what his name was, only that he flew with CLM briefly. No one has even seen his face, not even his CLM comrades. At least that is the information Okada received.

*sigh*

That case ended the same as well. Phase went dark after a few notable battles in Latos with antipirates. He wasn't killed, he just disappeared. That is when Okada was recalled to Sol II and was transferred to planetside cases. Such as terrorists within the Dominion, serco sects seeking to gain government control, possible Akanese links. While those were more successful than trying to capture pilots. Planetside spec-ops was a nice break from the endless leads and constant chasing with near to non results.

Okada grabbed his helmet and began his way to the hangar. And yet, now both the renegade and Phase had returned. What are the odds? Okada now has to investigate both of their returns. Two highly dangerous and very elusive pilots with both very different taken paths. Okada buckled into his ship and began his ascent.

"This is gonna be a mess..."

A dim blue screen flickers to life in a dark and metal room. Blurry lines begin to form shapes, and then objects. An asteroid field comes to vision, one infested with the Hive. The hive uniformly rushing and firing on a single target. Robot after robot exploding.

"Give me a better look"

**Transferring Link**
**Direct Link Established**

The images on the blue screen shift and shows what looks like a roller coaster rider's view. It was a hive robot sweeping in for an attack. Flying alongside in view was another robot only to become an expanding ball of debris and fire. Neutrons pounding into the hull of it came from a vulture. The Hive that was capturing the video began to fire on the vulture. The vulture slipped gracefully in between the lines of fire with ease and fired off a string of neutrons...

**Transmission Terminated**

"Continue the expansion, it was merely a naive hive hunter"

A somewhat strange voice came out of the dark room. Something about their voice was .. wrong

"No one suspects what is coming for them, as it should be. The price is blood and it will be paid in full on that day."

Okada wasn't making much progress. In fact, his quarry were making more progress eluding him. The serco he was after was simply leaving no trace or communicating at all. There were some sightings of Phase flying through Union space but no official record by the Territories shows it. And anyone else that has communicated with him has been tight lipped. Not to mention wherever he lands no one knows it is him anyway because no one even knows what he looks like...

Okada sighed, "The one fugitive moving around is the one no one can ID"

Okada hated that and he knew that Phase knew he couldn't be identified in person. Phase was the type to provoke anyone and draw attention either. An ego in check. Unlike his serco prey. That one leaves a hurricane of violence wherever he goes. He just does it fast enough and then falls off the radar, stays planetside or stationside and isolated. Okada laid in bed in his motel room, staring at the ceiling and pondering where to go from here. Remley Orbital, a hotspot for anyone flying TPG gear in grey space. And also a great place for information gathering. But nothing on the serco or phase.

Okada stared at the ceiling and complained as if it would bear his frustration. "You know, I don't even get this Phase guy. Sure, he hit a few serco xith convoys, doesn't do anything with the cargo and just vanishes. Pops up again only to do what? Nothing. Take a scenic flight through Union space and do what? Remain peaceful with the natives? He isn't attacking anyone or doing anything."

Okada huffs and expresses how he hates trying to track someone that doesn't do anything. Okada takes a breath and is about to begin a tirade on the serco before he is interrupted.

The doorcom was jingling that someone was on the otherside. Okada got up and grabbed his pistol. The thing about this kind of work is that you expect no visitors to your quarters unless they want to surprise attack and kill you. Especially if they say nothing over the comm. It's almost never the person you're hunting either, but rather the hornet's nest you stir up asking so many questions in seedy parts of the station. The person you're hunting isn't going to show up at your door, they're going to stay as far away from you as possible. Too many things can go wrong to get you killed or caught if you confront seek out and confront your hunter.

"who is it?"

No response

Okada taps the keypad and the door flies open, handgun out and ready to kill. No one is there. This is even worse, you don't want to be drawn out and shot as soon as you step out. Problem is if you don't they'll come in after you anyway and you have no idea who and how many they are. Okada ducks out and looks down each side of the corridor. Nothing. He kicks a datapad with his foot in the process.

"A note..."

Okada cautiously gets his hopes up in that it might be a lead.

"Odia, J-9. Use direct docking bay access to deck 3. Come alone to suite 4-E, the door will unlock for you and your ship IFF will be accepted at the private port. I expect you ASAP for I cannot stay long. I have a lead for you in exchange for something."

Do you believe in miracles? Okada was thrilled, but still cautious. It could be a trap, but if they wanted him dead they would have killed him just now. A promising lead, but deep in hostile territory. Okada is quite prepared to bear his SVG against anyone however. Okada gets his gear and checks out at the motel office before heading to his SVG.
