Rin, I agree with you. I've historically absolutely despised TGFT. I find Ecka to be a loathsome creature, so much so that he isn't even worth killing, but to simply be ignored. A dishonor only he claims in my eyes.
We've also tried working with them in the past, and I don't remember a time of true success. I've returned and returned to the Commandership of RED and I've noticed a lot has changed and seems tangled. Personally, I could care less about TGFT. I would say my relationship with TGFT is much like that of the relationship between the serco and the unions that lived on sol before they left. But I can honor any arrangement I've come into, only to honor my own brothers. But tgft has not honored me or my guild or the arrangement.
I won't tell my brothers to stop killing the non serco TGFT. I will extend courtesy to the serco members of TGFT however.

Sanan killed a serco tgft guy I was mentoring, as cost me about 15 minutes getting him through grey again; at the time I left him alone with sanan because I was sure tgft was "neutral" with all the nationalist guilds, as that was the status quo when I left vo last. Let me try and explain guilds to you sleepytime.
RED 1 . Thats the bits of RED that think they are at war with TGFT, because Espionage/TRS said they were. Espionage/TRS demanded that TGFT, a multinational trade guild stopped admitting itanis. So TGFT told Espionage to get stuffed.
RED 2. Thats the bits of RED that didn't know they were at war with TGFT. Mecha hates TGFT since when he was in SCAR TGFT told them to get stuffed. So, Mecha ( is it possible to ragejoin vo ? ) has ordered the bits of RED2 that don't know about RED 1 s war to shoot TGFT except the red bits. The red bits of TGFT have told Mecha to get stuffed.
ITAN 1. Crazyspence let Niki as ERC with an ITAN tag shoot TGFT. TGFT got a bit miffed and told CS to get stuffed. So bits of ITAN are shooting at TGFT, who are shooting back. Really until ERC gets bored and wanders off ITAN 1 can get stuffed.
ITAN 2. Ah, thats the bits of ITAN that thought letting Niki shoot TGFT was a duff idea. They have told ITAN 1 to get stuffed.
BR1. Well, They seem upset that bits of ITAN 2 have been hitching lifts in the tridents of itani TGFT members. TGFT has pointed out that they are not TGFT tridents, but belong to the members . So if BR1 thinks that shooting bits of TGFT will not provoke a response from the rest, then they can get stuffed.
BR2. There isn't one. Yet. When there is I'm sure I can find a reason to tell them to get stuffed.
BLF. Well Ryan thought it was a clever idea to swarm an ongoing nation war. We told him to get stuffed at the time and since the game is called vendetta we are still telling him to get stuffed.
FAMY. Some folk choose to buy warranties. If ye think I'm paying a warranty ye can get stuffed.
SKV. Just Niki. If he ever stops playing spacequake he might be in a sector long enough for someone to tell him to get stuffed.
ALT. They shoot stuff . Fair enough, we shoot back. So, they can get stuffed.
CLM. Have recently been seen, so we had a pleasant trip together in a trident and chatted about old times. Mind you if they start demanding money we will tell them to get stuffed.
I really can't be bothered mentioning all the moribund guilds which are, well, stuffed.
Of course, TGFT doesn't fall out with everyone. Just the vociferous ones.
So you see sleepytime, all these super nationalist warriors will bend over backwards to pick a fight with a guild of traders and miners, rather than go off fighting wars against each other in a war zone.
Really makes me fall about laughing to see how easy it is to get them all wound up. I just love the personal vitriol when they get mad.

First off, ty davejohn, that summary was just what I needed. That ITAN thing could've gotten me bad if I hadn't seen it coming just like I didn't see the RED/BR1 thing coming.
To all the idiots who didn't pick it up, by "mentor" I meant "teach a noob how to play vo because I was bored and I actually care about the direction of the game and the quality of the players" not "whore for mentor points". Don't think anyone mentor point whores anymore, since you can just ask ninjr for anything you need that requires MPs.
